Bought some gorgeous knee high boots yesterday in Next online they came and are really lovely leather ones and they do up :D except an inch from the top :cry::cry: but i know obviously in time they'll fit but does anyone have any tip to stretch? the tops??? its literally like an inch from the top..

Ideas?? please? pretty please they are to die for lol and refuse to take them back

Try pointing your toes to do them up - it should lengthen the muscle in your calf and may shrink them enough to do the zip up

xx

you can get a leather stretching spray from most shoe shops hun, you just spray in on and keep doing them up and wearing them till they fit! x

Won't they be too big when you reach goal then, or do you think they would have been too big anyhow? I was reading in the archives that some ladies that lost a lot of weight even dropped shoe sizes. I'd hate that to happen to me. I love my shoes!

Lol..no i dont think so ...but i know what you mean, im a size 6 ...through slimdom too before i put on weight i was always a size 6 and never anything else...the width of my foot doesnt seem to change lol its just my calf at the very top needs to shed fat!!! like before autumn lol

to get them done up, put a coat hanger in the zip and pull lol it works. xx

I have gone up a shoe size in past couple of years from 6/6.5 to a 7. My feet just got too fat and wide!! I still have some lovely shoes from my slimmer days, so hoping to get back into them with CD help!

The coathanger trick works for me too! First tried on jean zips (the first time skinny jeans were around that is!). Tx

Try wearing knee high tights, the support kind.....(like support knickers for your calves) I learned this trick from my horse riding days when my long leather riding boots were a tight fit!.....this might help you get the zip done up and then wearing them in a bit might stretch! If not hang them in prominent position for extra motivation !!! Better than dangling a carrot!!!

Lol thanks all of you with tips & tricks!

I will try the coat hanger thing too ...but think i might be ok once the cold sets in lol :D
