Need some advice girls and guys, I feel terrible I have a really deep painful cough although it is wet (TMI?) and now a sore throat from coughing. My whole body aches like I have flu. But It isnt that bad because I can still get up.

What can I take for this, that is allowed on SS?

You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen tablets, anything without sugar. But you may be able to get sugar free cough medicine, you'd have to ask in the pharmacy. Or sugar free cough sweets. They may have a few negligible calories but I think feeling better is more important than worrying about a handful of calories!

i was like that all of last week, really wet cough, could barley breath with all the crap blocking my lungs and it hurt to cough, no temp thou
i took my daughters chesty cough stuff as the adult one had 6.8g sugar per dose! the kids version is sugar free

So it looks like I have swine flu! I have got tamiflu and am tucked up in bed. What is CDs line on this should I be eating? or can I hopefully carry on with CD?

oh my goodness hun! Hope you feel better soon!
Not sure about the CD stance...but i hear the tablets can make you a bit off colour anyway so worth trying to stick with it and see how you get on? Not sure!

Aw hun so sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. I think the CD stance is that you need to move up to a plan with food as a minimum as your body needs the extra calories to help it fight infection but I am sure a CDC will be along soon.

Ah poor onlyme, sorry to hear that its swine flu. I just know one person that had it at the beginning of August and fortunately he was feeling back to normal in a few days.
