Hi i tried cambridge before and didnt get past the first week so never got the bars. I started again yesterday and had to buy three weeks worth as my counsillor is away on hols. I asked her about bars and she said you could have them from the second week so ive bought them but im sure the last time my previous counsillor said you had to have completed two weeks before you could have them?? Can anybody help me with this?

Did she give you enough bars for three weeks?

I would have thought she would have given you some to have on your third week.

I was under the impression you had the bars from week three onwards...

I have just been to see my CDC today - starting diet on Monday - and she has given me bars to have during my second week. Does this help or cause more confusion?)

She has gave me 14 bars so one a day from my second week. Im more confused lol. I just dont want to do the diet wrong by having bars in the second week when i shouldnt be. I really need this weight off asap and wanna do this right.

OK, i had them from week 3... but i know from reading posts on here that counsellors do different things.

If she said you can have them from week 2 - great (because the bars are lush!!).

I can't see it making a lot of difference anyway.

Enjoy!!

Ok so the official line as far as I remember is that in week 3 you are allowed 1 bar per day and one of the following: water flavouring/mixamousse.

However, some CDC's allow Cranberry/peanut crunch from the beginning as these bars are lower in carbs...

Hope that helps

They say week 3 for the bars to make sure you are established in ketosis as the higher carb content in some of the bars can kick you out, in some people that are more carb sensitive they can do that anyway! The cranberry and peanut bars are lower in carbs (around 14g) than the chewy fudge like ones (around 21g) personally I only have the cranberry bars as I find the fudge like ones make me constipated  so only get the occasional one as a treat ;)
