What's worth buying in Aldi? I've decided I'm going to take a jaunt there on my lunch break but not sure what they have that is free or low in syns.

Their frozen tuna steaks with sesame and ginger marinade are lush! And free on red and EE. Frozen chicken breasts are good value. Gammon steaks. Be careful with the grapes, I find they go off very quickly.

i get their beans, chopped toms, tuna, prawn and some fruit and veg - i agree with judi tho grapes do go off quickly

i love the museli yogurts with wholegrain from there, 2.5 syns each, but well worth it for me, also have some good frozen salmon in sauses

aldi beans are the best they so yummy!!!!

If you go onto the Aldi website you can register for a twice-weekly email which will tell you about the special offers. Lidl do an email as well.

Fruit and veg in Aldi can be very cheap, but do check out the quality and don't expect any of it to keep for long.

Recently they had little gem lettuces for 29p for 2 - they were excellent.

I pop in for the offers on the fruit and veggies - bargains!!! And having done a stint in a hauliers they're more often than not from same suppliers
