Questions

Looser :)
I haven't yet started my LT diet yet as i'm waiting for my late night shifts in work to end, so I just have a few question's to ask before I do start!! First of all, I like the odd drink(usually coor's light-pint's) and find myself gasping for a pint after a stressful week, i'm not a big drinker but would have one or two, so if I have the odd craving for a drink or two would this affect my weight loss dramatically or is there any type of drink I could have thats not so fatening?? Secondly the last time I was on LT I found myself having smelly breath, are sugarfree chewing gums ok to have? And lastly i'm not a huge fan of excerise and drive everywhere, but does excerise play a big role on LT or could I still have results with out it?

Hi

Drinking on LT is a big no no, if you check the sticky threads there's a thread about how dangerous it is to drink while in ketosis, so, if you are planning to drink this isn't really the diet for you!

You can't have sugar free gum; however, you can use Listerine Strips which you might have to order online, as they're hard to get hold of.

I don't exercise & haven't found it an issue; tbh, I don't have the energy for it! Though have started in the last few weeks going swimming, but that's only once a week. So, no, I wouldn't say exercise plays a major role.

Good luck!!

Sorry :( no alcohol allowed and no mints either. Drinking could make you ill and both will knock you out of ketosis and therefore you won't lose weight. As for exercise - some do lots and others do none. I do a bit of swimming for toning and cardio, and a bit of extra cardio and toning too.

Good luck though

i agree with the above i also read somewhere that drinking alcohol makes you retain water for the next day or so which will make you weigh heavier and if your anything like me one or two drinks turns into the midnight munchies lol!!! i have lost 23lb so far with no exercise! or cheating! i'm amazed i've made it this far but as everyone always says the food and drink will still be there when you reach your goals!!!

Yeah the no drink rule is the one getting to me at the moment. It's bank holiday, all my friends are planning to go out and paint the town red...and I just can't face going out and drinking water all night (without even a cheeky lemon slice!) and then opting out of the late night cheesy garlic bread and chips.

It feels a bit bleak...but then... I'm saving money AND it will all be there when I get to goal (only maybe I'll SHARE the cheesy garlic bread rather than bingeing it to myself!)

Soooo....anyway hun... no to booze and no to mints too. :-(

BUT...YES to thinner, happier, healthier us!!! PLUS think of the money we'll save!! I'm thinking a killer new wardrobe when I become skinnified!

Oh and as for exercise... some do it, some don't. Despite my total HATRED for exercise, I hit the gym 3 or 4 times a week. And when I say 'hit the gym' that is a very good description. It's often like a sack of potatoes has hit the place when I descend onto the treadmill! It's working for me tho- I had a cracking loss last week and am starting to feel the difference in my legs.

Cant really add to whats been posted im afraid, the ladies above are right :) It really is in your best interest to stick with the instructions on the bag, if you want the best results. I can empathise with you that it can be a stressful week and you just want to chill out with a few beers, but perhaps instead of a beer, why not treat yourself to a massage, foot spa, manicure etc and get pampered and relaxed at the same time, even if you do it yourself.

As for exercise, some do and some dont! Everyone is different, some people feel energetic and some dont. I have never found that energy rush myself, but walking is a great way of toning and a stress buster too. I also do the vibroplate and wii fit, not much exercise to be raving about but just do whatever feels comfortable and in sync with your energy levels.

Best of luck x

hey hun, as every1 has said above the alcohol is a big no-no... it really is quite dangerous if you drink while in ketosis (which i was shocked to find out). i thought i was going to miss drinking with my friends big time but to be honest i havent.. my priorities seemed to have changed since being on here lol .
Mints are a no too ..listerine strips are ok but no1 seems to sell them anymore.. i drink peppermint tea this takes the tase away xx
As for excersice it`s entirely up to you, my pharmasist told me that it wont help me in the slightest so dont bother,, but i try and go swimming once a week and iv just got my vibroplate because i want to get into a routine of doing some sort of excersice for when i get down to target ...
good luck hun xxx
