Hi, just joined site after accidentally bumping into it on google. Wanted to let you know what I've been doing and what i hope for.
I went to Doctors last month because I put on a lot of weight a couple of years back because of the medication I take for Bipolar Disorder. I have tried dieting by myself but have always struggled because my moods change so frequently I can't maintain an eating or exercise pattern.
However the Doc put me on Xenical which is forcing me to be good and my husband treated me to a membership at the local spa so I could swim (which I just love, I'm a real water baby).
I am eating no more than 35g of fat a day and swimming for between 1hr and 1hr1/2.
Its going well. I've found some low fat alternatives to "bad" food like burgers!!!! but even that i limit to once a week or less.
I want to be about 12stone 5 by xmas and I'm now 13stone 11. Here's hoping!
