Well i lost 4lbs, it was a bad week due to the totm!! Grrrrrr!
I went out last night and celebrated with a chinese meal, it was lovely to eat real food again! Back on it today tho but my counsellor has moved me up to the 810 plan as i need to be stable when i go on holiday in 3 weeks! Hope everyone else is doing well!
xx

Well done on the 4lb loss, but I have to ask what made you want to celebrate with food, as the whole concept of this diet is to move away from food rewards!

In answer to ur question 'why choose food as a reward'.
Well we're all on here because we all obviously love food and going without it is just torture so i keep myself going by planning a reward like the chinese meal and that keeps me from cheating or giving up because i know that after 2 weeks of hard work i can have something i really really love. I'm not giving up nice food no matter how bad it is, i'm only temporarily not having it to get down to a nice size and then the idea is to eat it in moderation with a balanced diet. Does anyone else do this or am i just strange?

Well done on the great losses and you know what? I am so on your level with that reasoning. I think yes it will be great to SS until goal and have no food but I would rather have "naughty" foods occassionly and just be on CD a wee bit longer rather than abstaining then possibly going on a masisve binge when i finish! I am still yet to have chinese on this diet as I know I will get too addicted.....make me drool, what did you have.......................

Well done on the loss hun! :D Certainly keeps you motivated! :D

Personally, part of this diet was to get away from rewarding myself with food as i've done that to excess for years....however, each to their own! As long as it doesnt assist in you coming off the diet completely then you need to do whats good for you. Be warned though that it will have an effect on the scales at next weigh in as it will probably have kicked you out of ketosis and also massively increased your cal/fat intake....just bare that in mind!

Well done on 18lbs off in 2 weeks when your so close to a healthy BMI already! :D:D:D:D

Reading this thread with interest as it could have been written by me! Just wondering, if you cheat on SS and eat something that knocks you out of Ketosis, do you then have to go through the 3 days of hell (headaches and nausea for me) getting back into Ketosis or do you just kind of bounce back in?

Whilst i love chinese food, and will in future have the odd meal when i'm where i want to be, i just cannot have it yet. I want to lose and stop the whole food/reward thing first! I did nibble at DD's party last week and pretty sure i was out of ketosis (no stinky breath and felt warm!) got back on strict ss on the sun and bu the wed was 5-6lb down. I'm lucky, i have no nasty symptoms when getting into ketosis. Good luck and fab losses! xx

Hi pinkbabexxx

Well done on your weight loss. Unlike yourself, I would not be able to get back onto this diet if I ate a meal.
But good luck to you - it seems as if you have worked out what works best for you.
