Query about being a CDC?

WILL be Slim!
i know this is a bit of an odd question but here goes anyway...

My CDC mentioned that i should consider looking at becoming a CDC myself....and although i had considered this in the past...i seem to have enough motivation fo everyone right now lol, this was the answer i gave her:

I dont think i could be a CDC when people choose not to follow the plan, and then whinge at not losing weight

Now, to me, i dont think i would ever have the patience to be a primay school teacher....i would get frustated at things not being done correctly etc lol, and liken this to a skill that a CDC needs....

How do other CDC's deal with these situations. One of my best mates was on CD, and she would cheat but whinge and in the end she was hankering after getting into a size 14 and i just snapped at her that she should do the f-ing diet properly and then it might be a reality....and i dont want to end up doing this to someone else who is a paying customer....

Any advice would be appreciated!

I think the most important qualities a CDC can have is to be supportive and understanding. The lower plans require a lot of willpower which not everybody will have, so maybe you could think about trying a more gentle approach. I know it would be frustrating, but everyone is different. CD, imo, is a case of mind over matter.

You just made me laugh... i think we may be cut from the same cloth... I have absolutely no patience with people when they whinge.

Eat the chocolate - than move on. You know you shouldn't have eaten it - move on. Please don't whinge because you'll end up getting a lecture then you'll end up resenting me because I've just told you some home truths...

I'm too hot headed and too quick off the mark to be a CDC (not that I want to be), but I so admire the Counsellors - they always seem so cool. I'm sure they get trained to be like that!! lol
