it depends on your own situation, sometimes i think people need to get authorisation from their GP before they can start while others can get started as soon as a counsellor can see them.
for guys the cost is £54.60 a week as we need to take four cambridge supplements a day and these are charged at £1.95 each.
I suggest you call your local counsellor and that will get the ball rolling.

No problem, I think £220 per month is a bit much for me, I think I might look at other options, thanks

Hi Mark, don't forget you're not eating or drinking. I spent more when I wasn't on CD than I do now. I know everyone is different, but with buying food every week, snacks at lunch time, alcohol, the occasional meal out and/or takeaway, I'm saving money.

Yeah I will but the last time I asked it was only £45 per week, Is it different for each individual CDC?

I think the prices are (up to) £1.99 per. product, as a man you have to have 4 per. day so that's 28 products per. week which equates to a maximum of £55.72, or these are the prices at my CDC.
Sorry mate.
Maybe have a look at the actual Cambridge Diet web-site because there may be some different plans you can do that aren't as expensive for you.

Hi Mark. Counsellors are allowed to sell the products at whatever price they want, but I think most of them stick to the RRP.
The best thing to do is search for your closest counsellor on the cambridge website and give them a call.
I know it does sound like a lot of money but when you take into account, you're not eating, so no shopping, no takeaways no alcohol etc. Most people actually save money.

My partner and i are both doing the CD and his cost £47.50 and mine £35.70. it costs more if you buy the tetra packs (about 15p a pack) and extras. To work out if you can afford it you do need to factor in the cost of food you have for meals plus any snacks and alcohol you may have everyday. It usually does come out as a lot cheaper to do CD or one of the other food replacement diets, when i did it it actually shocked me how much we were spending on food a week. Well like others have said; the CDC's can charge what they like for the products as they are in effect self-employed. My CDC charges £1.68 for sachets so for you that'd be £47 a week.
Have a look on the CD website Cambridge Diet: Welcome to Cambridge Diet and give a couple of counsellors a call for their prices.

I pay £1.75 and £1.95 and being on CD saves me a fortune, because I usely spend about £10 a day on lunches & junk before it even get to an evening meal
Same with me! I save loads of money being on SS! And I'm losing weight! Everyone's a winner! Lol

I support all thats been said. Mine charges 1.80 for shakes and 1.95 for bars. (she put prices up this week by 10 and 5p) I have saved loads of money since doing ss and i still do grocery shopping for family. It depends on how you feel about your weight, and how determined you are to do it. I have tried other diets for years, and none compares to cd for the losses and the sense that you are actually going to get to your goal. The others actually cost more usually, with the tons of fresh fruit/veg i'd buy. Wish i'd done it years ago. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, as long as your heads in the right place sure you can do it xx
