cadburys Roses

Extra Easy Apparently...!
Aaargh, there's a man at my work who brings me in a box of chocolates every Friday and this week it's Cadburys Roses. Last week I gave them away but I lurve Roses! Just checked syns online and have decided to allow myself 1 of the caramel velvet at 2 syns and 1 of the hazel whirls at 2 syns and have stuck the rest in a bowl at reception. If i don't deal with temptations now then I'll never learn (that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it!).

Wow, well done you! My colleague so far today has offered me jaffa cakes, crisps and hot chocolate.

I deflected them with my super slimming mind control rays!

Thats really good.. and shows that your taking w as a life change, i think its great that you put yourself to find the syn value, and then chose your faves, allow yourself to enjoy them and then put the rest out of reach :).. maybe you should suggest he doesnt bring you food though? maybe you could drop in convo that your trying to eat more healthily? xxxx

yum Cadburys Roses, I am salivating here :17729:.

If I ate one I wouldn't be able to stop myself finishing off the box :sigh:

I haven't had a sweet or chocolate since I started and to be honest I havent missed them, I have found that strawberries calm my craving for something sweet

I have trained everyone in my office not to offer me chocolates/cakes/biscuits etc. One person even brought fruit for me as an alternative one day, which I thought was really sweet of them.

I would say to him but as I'm based in the offices and he's on the warehouse floor I never see him except a Friday when he drops in to bring my choccies and I don't want to hurt his feelings. As long as I can exercise self-control then I'll be fine. This is why I like to plan my menu's in advance though as I already know where I'll need syns for meals etc so I now have a number of 'spare' syns for treats.

Well done hun. Let him keep bringing them, everyone else will be greatful and you can feel all virtuous inside knowing you are sharing some chocolate joy and not eating (many) of them yourself.

Fab willpower. xx

I think that's very brave of you to only stop at 2!! It just means that you can still enjoy them without going overboard and thats a huge achievement! Well done!
By sharing them with others at work, it also shows that you are making a comittment to SW and to yourself, so keep that up!!

xxx

Well done you!!! That's such a fab thing to be able to say!

I just wish I could have done the same with all the chocs I got from the kids at the end of term. Admittedly some I did give to my OH, but malteasers are just toooooo tempting! YUM!

Why does he bring you chocolates? that's really sweet!

Well done for only eating 2, amazing willpower. I made cakes for work last week and ended up eating 3! (they were amazing, a new recipe!)

I used to work in the same office as him a few years ago and I always felt he was lonely so made an effort to speak to him like an adult unlike the men who used to slag him all the time (it was all done in jest, not bullying). I haven't seen him for a while and about six weeks ago he changed duty so has been bringing me in a box of chocs every Friday. It's sweet cos he hides them under his jumper to bring them to me!

What a cast iron constitution you have today, well done to you. What a lovely man he seems to be, its lovely to see that people can be giving and bring a smile in this ecconomic climate. Give the man a chocolate.
