Eating out??

Hi, I've decided that if I'm going to be on this diet for the best part of this year I'm not going to put my life on hold for that length of time. I can't keep avoiding situations. I need to deal with them and cope in the best way possible. I've been on a few nights out and managed to not eat. It was hard but I managed it. My last social occasion was a wedding which I ended up just having a 'day off' for. On that occasion it was ok as I managed to get back on CD without any problems. I might not always be as lucky though. I want to be able to go out for a lunch or dinner and be strong enough to order a chicken salad with no extras and stick to it. I'm on 790 so that should be within my dailly intake.

So I'm putting it to the test. I'm meeting a friend next week. She knows I'm on CD and originally we said we'd meet for a coffee but I've decided to make it lunch. I think if I chose somewhere I know I'll get my chicken salad I'll be ok...I hope!

We're meeting in Dundee so if any of you Scottish girls can recommend somewhere that might be a good choice I'd be grateful.

I'd be interested to know how anyone else on 790 copes with eating out. My only worry is that on past diets I have always given in to something else on the menu rather than the healthy option. I feel thought that this has to change. Not just for while I'm on CD but for afterwards too.

Any advice appreciated.
