A Question Re: Exercise

Hi All

I was just wondering how much exercise everyone takes?

My CDC told me not to exercise in the first 2 weeks, which I didn't do, I don't think I'd have had the energy anyway:eek:

I went to aerobics last night and swam today, then someone told me that maybe I shouldn't do too much as the diet is very low in calories. However i've felt really great and have more energy now.

Does anyone know what the appropriate amount of exercise is?

Also can I have tuna on my aam?

Thanks
Tracey

Hi Minilady, glad to see you survived aerobics!! Dont know how much were supposed to do but I go to gym at least 5 times per week and do about 30-40 mins cross trainer/bike/treadmill and a few weights. My cd counsellor is happy for me to go with how I feel about it and thats what im doing, Im so concious of excess skin after weight loss that Im sure this will help with a bit of toning. Sarahxx.

Thanks Sarah

I think I'm going to go to aerobics once a week, swim once a week and go to the gym twice a week, when I lost weight before my last child was born, I used to love the treadmill and the stepper, and now I feel ready to tackle the gym again. Although I'm dreading all the bloody mirrors they have around the place:( I always end up looking at my feet!

All equipment at my gym has individual tvs so I just plug in and go in my own little world although I do see an odd scary mirror image looking back at me occassionally although it is getting a bit slimmer!! Sarahxx.

tv's:eek: I think my gym must be in the dark ages! They used to play a lot of take that and similar boy and girl band stuff over a tannoy! That was the extent of their technology.

Still might be in for a nice shock when I go, I quite fancy watching Eastenders whilst wobbling about, definately better than my reflection:eek:

Im keeping him in it too. But I havent got the well feeling that others get, I can only do about 14 lenghts of the pool now compared to the 50 I was doing before. Next week Im going to try and go into the gym to help tone up but cant see myself in there for long.

Hi Minilady,

I do two classes a week, one aerobic and the other toning (weights & gym ball) both lasting 1 hour, and I also walk the dog a lot.

I also have all the home gym equipment if I feel the need for more. My doctor did recommend me for 12 x personal trainer sessions but I just haven't found the time yet.

Good luck with your diet & exercise journey.

I've been recommended for them too, I have just booked my induction session but it isn't till 10th April, so will maybe go swimming and do one of my exercise dvd's!!!
