Week 10 weigh in!!

Success leads to success
Good morning all :)

Well went for my week 10 weigh in and I lost 1lb

Not too sure what to think of that really, ive stuck to this programme 100% the whole time and im proud of myself for that! Im not on totm and havent done anything different so must be one of those things.

As they say a 1lb off is better than on and my pharmacist was really supportive. I think everyone has a week like this at some point but I wont let it deter me :D

Anyway heres to next weeks weigh in - hopefully it will be better!

On the positive side im one stone from goal!!! Im thinking of changing it to 9 stone though but will see how I feel at 9,7 and whether im happy with that :)

I understand your disappointment but it's great to see you keeping focussed. Everyone does seem tohave these weks and you absolutely will have a better loss next week. Well done ont he loss and on your attitude! :D

i think that's a great attitude hun. who knows why the body does certain things - it's a complex being and all we can know for sure is that sticking to LT 100% will make you lose weight, but no one can guarantee the timescale!

a stone from goal is brilliant! so happy for you! i agree with you, see how you feel at 9st 7 and if you fancy another couple of weeks to get to 9 go for it!

Sxx

Hi J

It is the unknown on LT to be honest.....I think we all get weeks where the loss is slighly less than what we expect...but, firstly 1lb off...a small chicken!!!! Secondly, like I have said many times before, the scales dont know it is your WI day. For all you know you could drop another lb tomorrow, but you will have to wait for another 6 days before you WI again! You just dont know...and thirdly, you are so near to your goal now, just wondering whether things start to slow down!

All in all, you are doing brilliantly and are almost there girl!!!! Your attitude is so right and you have to look at it like that!

Have a great week..

I think a lot of people experience weeks like this; when I did TFR the first week I stuck to it religiously & had two weeks where I only lost 1lb. Glad you're not discouraged & congrats on being so close to your goal! That's wonderful!

Good luck for your next week :)

Hannah

Thank you everyone, its reassuring to know that this can happen sometimes! I have changed the times Im having the shakes now, see if it can help 'trick' my metabolism, so this week im having them an hour earlier than normal and having around half to 1 litre of water extra.

Just thought I would try it for one week and see if it changes anything.

Scotmist - I do belive it slows down closer to goal. I started this with my mum and she had a loss one week of 1lbs the week after - she was ready to give up, but after sticking to it for another week - she dropped a whopping 7lbs taking her to 8 stone 13! So shes on refeed now :) Im not gonna get my hopes up for 7, but anyway I can dream :)

Im back at uni 5 weeks monday and hope to reach goal by then, but have now realised that I would have to refeed for 2 weeks in my own best interest to drink at freshers fortnight, so have decided if im not done by then to keep going freshers or not, I have all year to drink and to be honest its something I really dont fancy going back into.

Once I reach my goal I have decided to do circuit training 45 minutes a day 5 days a week, as I did this prior to LT and lost 3 stone in about 8 weeks and it really does wonders for cardio fitness, toning and strength building! Im quite suprised at even though Ive lost weight on my arms how muscular thye are underneath.

Along with refeed then healthy eating I think this is going to be my maintenance plan :)

Soz for waffling and thank you! :) xx

Hey Jodz... great post & attitude & even more fantastic news to be so close to goal x

Stick with it lass - you're doing ace (& looking ace ;) ) ! x

Hi Jodie,
well done to you, your attitude is fab. Am I seeing things or did you say you lost 3 stone in 8 weeks doing circuit training. Please explain????
You have only one stone left to go, you will be there in no time.

As howdy said, great posts and great attitude Jodie. I do expect that when you're close to your goal it slows down. Maybe it's the body's way of saying 'Noooooooo I don't want to be slim and want to hold onto this insulation'

Here's hoping it's a 'Daughter like Mother' senario and you get your big loss next week and then before you know it you'll be on refeed.

Oh yeah about your arms still being muscular underneath - That amazes me! I was an athlete before I became Ms Chubby McChubbersome from Chubbyville and even though my arms and legs are full of fat I can still see the slight outline and feel the muscles! Weird eh, you would think they would disappear.

Thank you Doirin. Yes sorry I made a typo there it was 4 1/2 months/ 18 weeks! I wish I could lose that in 8 weeks though, I would be doing it right now! :D

I did circuit training last summer with healthy eating and one of those prevention patches and thats how much I lost, so really my starting weight was 15 stone 4lbs but I put over a stone back on as I hadnt addressed my eating habits and with the ex OH moving overseas for work and too many holidays later (and booze and food) later thats why I came to LT.

I really must say it is great exercise, I followed the fitness plan off the RAF website and just built it up from there. Its very very hard, but because you jump from exercise to exercise without a break, your still burning fat the next day and off course building muscle. I think its the best thing for me when I come off LT to put muscle under the skin where fat used to be stored.

But its too vigorous for LT I would collapse so just doing the vibroplate and sit ups at the moment :D

Haha I hope my body isnt doing that, because I will fight it hehe!

Yes its really weird isnt it? My mum was looking at my arms when I was lifting some shopping and said wow you have biceps, and i was like oh yeah so I have!

I think fat stores over muscle - doesnt it? I know I read somewhere that in order to have visible abs you have to trim the fat and then build muscle where the fat used to be?? Not that im going for abs but a one liner would be nice :D

Lol 'Ms chubby' - well that will change because you wont be for much longer! With being an athlete do you know what kind of body fat percentage we need for our muscles ot become more prominent or is that a myth, im really wanting to get some circuit training done when ive finished! At the moment as of today my body fat percentage is 28.1% :D

cheers hun, I think it really does happen to everyone sometimes, hopefully next week we will be on here celebrating a good loss, for now the experimentation with the water might just help things along. I will be thinking positive for us both hun! You will be at goal before you know it also, the weeks really do fly by! xx

Glad to see you have such a positive attitude chick!!!

Fingers and toes crossed for a good loss next week xxx

Well done on losing 2 packs of butter and for being so positive.

You'll be at your goal by the time you are back at Uni.

Well done on doing so well so far.

x

At least it is 1lb in the right direction =) I usually find when I'm dieting that a small loss one week means a greater loss the week after when I'm sticking to it 100%. Try not to be too disappointed hun!

*hugs* 1lb off is still a loss x I know I`d be gutted too if it was me :(

Woohoo at only being 1st away from goal!!!

Well done for staying positive x Good Luck for next week Xxxxxxx
