Positivity is the key
Good evening all,
had my weigh in today and lost 5lb. It did make me laugh as I imagine at least half of that was to do with being so chronically constipated last week. But whatever the reason, I will take it gladly, I am 2 and a half pounds over 15 stone, so should see that gone next week all going well.
I am seriously considering coming off the diet at 13/14 stone and then working on exercising the rest off along with a slimming club. I think it may be the best option for me as I haven't got the energy to do exercise on this diet and I am starting to need some major toning up now.
If that's what I do decide to do then I will be coming off the diet sooner than I had first envisaged but will refeed and do the maintenance for longer at the start.
Any comments? All welcome!

Well done on a great loss :D

Well done on a great loss indeed, and whatever you decide to do you've already proven your determination so I'm sure you'll do great. Do what's best for you! :D

WELL DONE!!

Well done x I bet you're chuffed to beans

That's a fantastic loss! Well done!

I think you should do whatever feels right! The only issue I see is that after experiencing such fast losses, slower losses might be a bit discouraging/frustrating. Let us know what you decide!

Thanks all,
I would still be on here for another 20 odd pounds or so to lose, so a bit of time yet. I do worry how it would be to lose less but I have seen the possibility now of losing and if I could up my exercise, I say 'up' but should really say start my exercise, it should help tone up. I worry about losing much more at this fast rate and then trying to play catch up with the loose skin. My top half varies between 16/18 sometimes even a 14 where my bottom half is 18/20/22. It is my big problem area and just losing the weight alone won't rectify it.
I suppose part of my difficulty is that I never wanted to achieve the size 10, more the size 14 and I feel that is achievable now. I started from the fat kid perspective, where others may have put their weight on later, I always had it. I can't see a thin version of me as I never experienced it but I would like a healthier version of me, I know I may be healthier at a lower weight but....., Oh I don't know what the but is.......see I am rambling now as I have a head full of questions and don't quite know the answers to suit me yet.

doirin, i don't want you to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am the same, not bad with the skin - yet - but will be. i'll let you know how the vibro plate goes.

good luck whatever you decide matey. xx

That is phenomenal Doirin. You must be so proud of yourself.

Have you thought about a vibro plate as they are meant to be fantastic for toning up and I think they require minimum effort? Light weights or resistance bands would also help with the toning and they also don't require too much energy. If you found something within your energy boundaries you would be able to stay until you reach your goal. I myself said I would be happy with 12 stone but I know once I reach it I'll want more, or less as the case may be. I think you should wait until your reach 13/14 stone and then decide.

Whatever you decide to do I wish you all the best.

Hey Doirin,

Well done on your loss this week. All your losses have been amazing, you must be so chuffed.

I also this week have reassesed my target weight. You have to do what feels right for you, and you have done so well thus far. and i think that whatever you decide to do you will succeed, because i know how determined you are!!

Good Luck Honey xxx

Hi All,
thanks. Caren hope the vibro plate works for you, I really don't want to do it until I start eating properly, I get caught up in all the side affects bit about losing too many calories whilst on so few etc. but I also know it has worked well for others.
Betsy,
I origionally thought i would stay on till I reach 12 stone, my BMI says I should be 9 and a half stone, but I could never see that for myself. Perhaps it's a body image thing, I don't know but I don't see myself as been very slim, just thinner than I ever have been. Odd, eh!
Hi Kerry,
did you go up or down on your change of weight target? Thanks for the vote of confidence, I haven't come this far to undo the good work.
Thanks again ladies, as always you are all very supportive.

Well done sweetie on your 5lb loss!

All I can say is that I KNOW you will make the right decision. I know you are not trying to "wriggle" out of anything. As usual, you are taking the sensible approach and you know what is right and best for you and the boys!

I am with you no matter what you decide Doirin and I am so proud of what you have achieved to date and your lovely and honest nature!

Take care and we all wait to find out what you decide.

Fantastic Doirin :D Dead chuffed for you :D x

Doirin,

like Iris said, i know you'll make the right decision. trying to lose the last bit with diet and exercise i think is very sensible, after all LT wont be with you forever (although it is an option for the forseeable future!)

whatever you decide hun, but you have to PROMISE that if you join a slimming club and you go on their forum, you still have to come in here and let us know how you're doing!!

love lots xxx

dorin you have to do what is right for you. But I have been off LT now and with sensible dieting I have lost another 11 pounds in 11 weeks, it been coming off slow but sure. Personally I would carry on until you have about a stone to lose to get to your personal goal and then try to lose the rest, slow but steady, it may not seem as dauting then. I got the vibro plate couple weeks after leaving LT and use it every day for 20 mins it has toned me up a little, as well as helping with the weight loss, good luck. x

Thats fantastic Doirin! Im really pleased for you :)

I think you should do what you think is best for you, not anyone else but for you. Ive no doubt that when you leave LT you will be just as determined to get to your desired weight and I think that you are wanting to get heart healthy by doing some cardio is brilliant, as i know cardio can be hard whilst on this since we can feel quite tired sometimes.

All the best :D

Hi,
thanks again for the positive comments.
Debz,
it's amazing how we see ourselves at a certain size and not at others, isn't it. I can see the size 14 but not lower, never know though i may become exercise obsessed and go lower, Nah! can't see that happening.
Sarahlou, I agree about LT not being with us forever and that is why I have decided to come off earlier. I am afraid to use it to get to goal as I need to know I can lose weight without it. I will join a slimming club but will come on here as often as possible as I know I need the support from old friends as well as new.
Joy, it does me great to hear you have lost weight off LT and 11lb in 11 weeks is great. I needed the boost of losing fast at the beginning to bring me back into an acceptable weight and this is what I am now. The rest will be my project for the foreseeable future.
J-Lo,
Thanks, I am determined to lose this weight and a healthy heart was one of my biggest motivations, as I want to be around for my boys as long as I possibly can and we all know exercise is the way to go twinned with a good diet. I feel that at least now I am at a weight where I can exercise without keeling over.
Thanks
Doirin

did you go up or down on your change of weight target?

Hi Doirin i was originaly aiming for 18 stone mark as my BMI suggests i should be, but am now going to aim for 12 stone 8, then lose maybe another stone on WW or SW. mainily because i feel i need to learn about healthy eating, so i am hoping by joining a slimming club and still having weigh ins. it will keep me going.
