Unexpected Bonuses Of Weight Loss

After flogging some stuff on eBay we've decided to have a proper clear-out. So there is a load of my daughter's clothes on there now plus a few more T-shirts of mine. I've got two charity bags full of our old, big clothes too :D

Anyway, the unexpected bonus is: getting in and out of the loft is now a doddle! I used to dread going up there; I had a mad fear of going up ladders, I think because my weight made them really unstable. And It was a real effort to boost myself up through the hatch.

Not now though, I'm straight up the ladder and through the hatch without effort. I've been up and down all morning!

Woooohoooooo!

Ooohhhh a bonus for me is that when oh bought his new R1 motorbike the store told him how lucky he was to have a small girlfriend as the back seat is absolutly tiny! I did wonder how an earth I'd be able to sit there but as I'm only 5ft1in and a normal weight at last I fit! :) lol..

I too can manouvre into smaller places, making working at the tiny pub on weekends very much easier!

Well done! I love clearing out spaces like that. It is such a great feeling. karen kingston says it is a connection between holding on to old stuff, and holding on to overweight :D. So, the better we clear out the spaces, the thinner we will get :D.

i can now move freely in my bath!!! It comes in at the middle and my fat gut used to stick there. Now i slide merrily!

Ah, easily amused! Plus i can wear the fluorescent waistcoats at the work warehouse and they button!!! Magic stuff.

well done luner jim! my husband is ss as of yesterday and i started last tues. i cant wait for him to start feeling the benefits too!

For me it was the realisation that my winter coat will now be too big - in the Feb snow the top 2 buttons where somewhat tense and on Friday night something clicked and i went to try it on - now the coat looks awful and hangs off me... 20 sweaty minutes later of me swanning round with it on gave me the boost to get my backside into gear and get right back into the mindset!!

I was on a train the other week and I could life the flappy table down and it didn't need wedging in between my belly and boobs, airplane seat is the next challenge, without the seatbelt buckle having to be right at the end

good for you (skinny) jim! and everyone else that's got more space around them
