Is there a correlation to my pain, and LL?

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
I have been in a lot of pain the last week. First my neck. THats no surprise, it hurts 24/7, but it really flared up again.

Today, I have been in such pain, that I spent ten minutes in the bathroom at work in tears:cry:....but its notjust my neck. Its in my armpit, my ribs, my chest = hell, even my boobs hurts. (TMI :D)

It hurts to breathe - every breath I take feels like a knife pulling back and forth in my chest. Thats what drove me to the loo. You can put your feet up, you can lay your head down, but you can;t stop breathing. Its just been constant.

I figure this pain, is my Fibromyalgia flaring up. WHere theres one, theres another.

Anyway, hubby and I were talking, and the year I did LL initially, I was in an awful lot of pain, and missed several weeks of work because of it.

During RTM, and the last 10 months maintaining - rarely did I have the pain that laid me up. I felt relatively good.

So, I am wondering, if it is the lack of fat in my diet now = no omega oils particulary, that is affecting my arthritis and fm?

Its very strange - and seems to make sense just based on the way I fetl the lat ten months, but before and after I suffered.

Its not enough to put me off LL, its just interesting and I wonder if because I am notg getting any of those essential oils now if its causing the flare ups.

Anyone ever hear of anyone go through similar?

BL - that sounds terrible!

I don't know of anyone else suffering in the same way. I do hope you can get through this - but I have to ask, is it worth the pain for the very few pounds now?

xx

Can't help you at all BL - but hope the pain starts to die down soon xx

Aw, thanks guys....TI, its always there anyway. I have two conditions, and both are chronic pain....its just that some times, its better then others - but never goes away anyway. My necks hurt everyday for the past 2 years. lol SO I am used to it. And I really dont know if its the diet at all - if thats even possible. It may just be a case of coincidental timing, ya know?

I am a pretty tough cookie, and generally deal with pain pretty well - it may knock me down, but I always come up fighting. :D

If it is the diet, then it really is a good illustration about how important having some fat in our diets is. But healthy fats, like avocados, olive oil, etc. It would show how sensitive out bodys are, as a mechanical instrument.

But who knows. I keep plodding along.

But I must say, I don;t like this pain in my chest - very very uncomfortable. Can;t even drive my car, its too hard to pullthe steering wheel (I have no power steering.)

Hey ho. We all gotta have somethin, right?
THanks girls.

oh BL you sound in an awful way
it could well be the lack of the oils - could you take a supplement whilst on LL or do you think it would kick you out of ketosis?
daisy x

bl you poor thing , daisy's idea of a suppliment sounds a good one , cant imagine them taking you out of ketosis and im sure youre llc will see the benefit for you , bless youre heart , i really hope the pain will aleviate for you somehow xx big huge hugs xxxx

Sorry to hear you are suffering.

Just an idea - if you feel that LL could be contributing to the increase in pain, could you move to Lite where I imagine your fat intake would be higher. From what I've heard, the losses are comparable with those in abstinence.

I hope the pain and discomfort eases.

Hi BL, Sorry to hear you are struggling just now.The flare-up could be diet related-but who knows.Incidentally, could the pain in your chest be a chest infection? The pain isn't radiating up your jaw or down your arms is it?If so I'd get it checked as soon as you can.Take care x

Poor you, that sounds terrible. Would it not be an idea to speak to your doctor just to sound them out? they should be able to offer you something? Hope you feel better soon xx

Sorry this post will not be very helpful as I have no idea about the answer to your question, but just wanted to send you a hug and that I hope you feel better soon :hug99:

How are you feeling tonight hon? xx

Thanks ladies. Still hurting, but hopefully it won;t be as bad today. FIngers crossed. I can breathe easier, but pain still sharp in my collarbone and arm pit.

I have seen the doc so many times, lol, I can tell him waht to tell me. I know its Fibromyalgis, and not a chest infection - and all they can do is give drugs.

Melp, that article was very interesting. Pretty much sums it all up. It sucks - its for life - and I am too young to feel this old. THat poor girl though, she is really young.

I may look into that drug next time we are in the states. Sounds hopeful.

Its just one of those things, and the fact the artcile said when a body is pushed to its limits it flares up, so it may well be to do with the diet....in part.

I think I will get some Vitamin D, and also some Omega Oil capusles....might be a very good idea.

THanks for your kind thoughts, and fingers crossed to a better day. At least the weekend is near, and hubbys working all weekend so I can have a chilled restful one. No gardeing for me!!

Thank you all. <<<hugs.>>>
