LAST MEAL...............................

Hello, Have you any scrummy ideas for my last meal????????
I'm starting the CD Diet on friday morning. So I'm thinking about going on out on a bang thursday night.I want to have a fab dinner and pudding to say goodbye to food for a while, and goodbye for good to high carb/fat food.So with that in mind what would your menu be...........any and all suggestions welcome........let your creative juices flow.....for those of you that its the last thing you want to think about while u prepare a shake or a low fat lunch, sorry!!just skip by this thread and think no more about it!!

agree with sonkie its all down to personal choice xxx

Need some inspiration.I'm sick of cooking and eating the same old stuff!!Whats your favs.?maybe I could try one of those for my 'out with big bang' dinner.

curry with all the trimmings ,chinese, kebab spag bol with garlic bread oh pizza come to think of it too much ooh its making my mouth water !!

I started on a thursday and the monday before i had a chinese and it was the best ever ( cos i knew it was gonna be my last ) then i cut down on the other days to get ready for thursday.

Homemade chicken and cashew nut curry with brown rice, garlic nan bread and all the other bits sounds GREAT!!!Maybe a red thai curry!!Kittykat you've hit the mark, thanks for the curry suggestion! Now I've just got to think of a pudding xx

well i wouldnt recommend "last suppers" (ok im lying :D) mine was a great stonking chinese takeaway and some alchopops. mind u, i had half a glass and a few bites then conked out on the sofa LOL. my last bang didnt even make a muffled "pop" sound, sadly hehe! tho i made up for that last week but the less said about that the better

well u have til friday so i would have a little of everything u fancy before u get cracking. that way u arent gonna add a stone before u start but u will have all these little thigns ut of ur system prehaps?

best of luck for friday. u are brave starting on the eve of a weekend so i would definately make the best of the time before hand!!

THEN after ur first week, it'll work out better for you to have weigh-ins just before weekend as u will still be on a high from getting on the scales and should sail thru the weekends easier :D

best of luck. look forward to hearing how it all goes for you.

xxxxxxxxxx

So what are you having???

In all seriousness as a CDC - I'd have to advise low carbs and high protein meal ..... but as me I'd probably go for pizza!!! So do as I say not as i'd do!!!

red thai chicken and cashew nut curry, little bit of brown rice, garlic nan and a yougurt and cucumber raita thing. Not decided on a pudding yet, any ideas??:)

or maybe I'll follow your good advice and have a low carb high protien meal.Thats out with the rice and nan then!! So its chicken, cucumber and yougurt then, yum yum.HA!HA!Really will it make the first week easier if I reduce the carbs or will it be as hard anyway??Please advise, thanksxx

It makes getting into ketosis much easier - and if you up your water intake too, it really will help. You shouldn't have the headaches as bad (carb withdrawal) and getting into ketosis will be quicker, so you'll feel hungry for less time, and be unlikely to pick and ruin the diet.

Hi, I'd still have the last supper but I'd then spend a week or at least a few days cutting down carbs before starting... But then I suffered terribly the 1st few days and ended up doing 790 instead of SSing as I couldn't hack it. I've ended up staying on 790 though. I love the diet and feel I can stick to it for the long term.... Anyway, if I had cut down of carbs beforehand I might have managed to SS....I DID enjoy that last bacon roll though!! ;)

 How bad am I likely to feel??I'm a bit worried about it.Whats the first week like, am I going to be a wreck?!?If I am gonna feel bad I'll rather know and prepare for it.What are carb withdrawals symptoms?Help I'm panicking..............

Hi,

Id planned to have fish and chips:), but due to a painful ulcer, the meal was a huge disapointment.

Next time, it will be a chinese ( hopefully there will not be a next time though:))

Enjoy whatever you're having and good luck SS's :)

I confess I did the big last meal,In fact I did the BIG last week!!! And I did pay for it I suffered getting into ketosis and had a stonking head for three days. But I was(please note was!!) a major carb fiend. I say from my experience cut down as much as possible before.

Nikki x

I didnt do the last big meal, the week before I started I cut down on my carbs and went through week 1 without any major headaches. I did have a few slight headaches but nothing that 2 asprin didnt resolve.

Having said that what ever you decide to do enjoy it, if you think that a last blow out will help go for it, but when you start remember keep up the water intake

Good Luck:D

Thank you all for this tasty thread.

I'd just managed to almost convince myself that I wasn't really ALL that hungry and resignedly forced down some more liquid.

Then I peeked here... LOL.
