Hi everyone,

Get ready for my peed off vent.

I weighed myself today and am showing 10st4lb (digital scales). I was weighed last Saturday at 10st3lb!!! What is going wrong??

I have been on the treadmill every night burning 200cals then 100sit-ups and about 50 crunches.

Now according to a NHS survey I took in resting my body burns 1600cals per day. I am ingesting a little over 400cals per day.

Now if my calculation serves me correct:

400 - 200 - 1600= -1400cals

I am burning 1400cals per DAY!!!

How am I loosing so SLOWLY??? and apparently gaining weight! I am following the diet perfectly, not cheating!!

It is hard not to think about cheating when this stupid diet isn't working!!!

I am ready to give up guys, I am at week 5 and have lost 12lbs. Is it really worth it? and if I loose this slowly on Lipotrim then what chance do I have not on the diet?

I am so close to quitting and going and burying my head in a bucket of KFC.

Help please.

First thoughts are that you are comparing the reading from 2 scales, so its possible that when you are reweighed on the original scale, your actual loss will be more as expected?

hey sorry your feeling so down..... if you do too much cardio exercise your body could go into starvation mode and therefore hold on to the fat and also you a possibly building muscle which weighs more. there are prob people who explain what i mean better than i just have. i hope that helps a bit.

You can easily weigh more is you have drunk alot of water or you are constipated and you always weigh more in the evening that you do in the morning, please stick with it, it will come back off.

Thought the same as Bill......are you sure your digi scales are in line with the ones you had yourself weighed with on Saturday...not a good thing to weigh inbetween your official WIs for this reason...demoralises you.

I am all for exercising, but maybe what you should do is a little experiment and dont do anything this week and see what your losses are like????? Just a suggestion incase your body doesnt want to do so much. I know I have just started a challenge about exercise, but we are all different and if it makes the difference of carrying on and not, I would definitely try cutting out the exercise for a week.

YOu say you are sticking to LT and I dont doubt that,,,,but are you drinking your water? If you are say, having just 2 litres min, and exercising and becomind dehydrated through exercise, this could be a factor too. I did a walk the other week for 3 hours, and drank a lot in that time, but I never needed the loo!!! And to me, this is amazing, because I am up and down like a yo you to the loo....but I was obviously sweating the water out and not needing to go...so, you may need more water??

Hope this is helping...a bit waffly but I am trying to wrack my brains to help you...especially since you are struggling and doing everything right.

Hang in there and dont despair and dont reach for that KFC either!

I agree that weighing yourself with a variety of scales isn't a good idea; you need to follow just the one as they're always different (if I'm at the doctors it always says I'm fatter!)

Also, the exercise could actually be an issue, as you could be in starvation mode due to using so many calories while consuming so little. If you search other threads there's quite a lot about the role of exercise with this diet.

BIG HUGS!!!

I totally understand how you feel right now and I am also a serial weigher (I know I shouldn`t, But can`t help it). Different scales can give diff results hun. Please don`t be disheartened until you have your official weigh in.

I also have trouble losing the weight even on such a small amount of cals and I`m also not cheating so I REALLY do understand where ur coming from x

My family had KFC last night and it was the first time I really wanted to give in and have some but I didn`t.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!! We are all here for you.

Rant away on here and get it out of your system

Xxxxxxxx

Step away from the non-official scales!

Seriously, don't sweat about it - your official weigh in is the one that counts and that's why we're not meant to pay much attention to any other scales (and let's face it, most of us use them!)

But also, maybe you are overdoing the exercise which can take you into starvation mode (i think). no need to do that much calorie burning every day,a nd if you do then you need to drink more water at least 3 litres per day i'd imagine instead of the minimum 2l.

good luck for weigh in.
