cafes and cakes

Hello all,

I'm meeting a friend today for afternoon tea and I don't mind using up a large chunk of my weekly syns for a nice slice of cake!

I realise sizes of cake must vary enormously from one cafe to another, but just as a guideline, does anyone know any syns of cake? (for an average slice rather than per 28g)

I went to the Co-op cafe the other day and bought a small custard doughnut, which was labelled as 160 calories, so I counted that as 8 syns.

Does anyone know any other calorie/syn values for cake? I would really love a cream tea, but maybe one scone, jam and cream would suffice! Any ideas on the syns for that? Or maybe something chocolatey...

Thanks in advance for any help.

xx

Just saw another post, saying a slice of carrot cake from Costa Coffee is 23 syns, so that gives me a good guide. My mouth is watering already...

Starbucks low fat orange cake is nice and 10 syns
Krispy Kreme donuts are between 10-15 syns each (which I thought were surprisingly low for what they look like!)

Well, I was a bit disappointed with my cake! Ordered a cake, expecting it to be a big wedge of carrot cake, oozing with cream-cheese style icing, but no... just a plain slice of cake, a fairly thin slice from a loaf tin, with NO icing!! :sigh: Gonna guesstimate it at 10 syns. What do you think?
