Any one done it??

I went last night with my best friend.. my god its hard work!!!!

I ache like hell, but it does works more or less every muscle in your body, esp legs - which is fab as mine are like tree trunks :D

Hoping its helped towards my 1lb loss i need to get to my 2 stone loss!!!

Oh yes!!!! It's amazing though!!! I love Body Combat too.

Keep doing it - when I do it regularly I find my legs, butt and arms tone really fast. In fact, without sounding big headed or anything (just proud), my legs are my nicest body part at the moment I think - which I would not have said 3 months ago at ALL!!! {there is a pic of me in shorts in the before and after pics and I would never have worn shorts before I did all this exercise and SW}. I've seen the biggest change in them in 12 weeks - losing a whopping 3 inches off each thigh!!! 3inches!!! :D

So yes, it's hard but well worth it. Also, the Davina workout (latest) DVD is brilliant for legs too. I do that in between my other stuff.

Good luck and well done on doing it :D :D xoxox

I absolutely love it and hate it....but it's the best thing I've ever done for getting results. Haven't found a convenient class near my new house but I will get there again at some point. The best shape I was ever in was when I did one combat class and one pump class a week.

I love Combat as well. That burns so many calories and the punching makes my arms so toned.
Attack and Jam I tried a few years ago but they were too hard!!!

Im a Body Attack fanatic! I cant wait to get back to it in a few weeks when my GP gives me the all clear. Im one of the saddo's who goes to the 9.30am class on a sunday morning :p

I also do combat and pump but had to lay off pump for a while. I used to do 4 pump classes a week and my legs started resembling a worlds strongest man competitor  I was squatting 28 kg plus the bar so i recuced my classes down to 2 and the weight down to 22 kg and this helped.

Cant wait to get back into it - im actually excited, how SAD am i :p

Not sad honey - motivated :)

I feel cranky if I don't do my normal amount of exercise and I can get really into it too. It's good so long as it doesn't swing the other way and go OTT, which sounds like we avoid and work with to suit.

I'll have to ease off when we get the treadmill for at home though which will suck - but I have my DVDs (not the same though) :( xxx

I love body pump too - fantastic for toning up. And remember - when you do resistance work your body not only burns calories during the class, but also for ages after due to your muscles needing energy to do all their rebulding and stuff (sure theres a more technical term!)

:)

I like pump for toning, it is a big calorie burner but Attack is defo the best for pure calorie burning and fat busting.

I wear my HRM for attack and i usually burn around 900 cals in the hour. I really give it my all and feel like i have achieved something afterwards.

I am THE biggest CRANKY PANTS at the moment because i cant do any exercise

I know what you mean about doing DVD's, its not the same atmosphere as it is in a class, especially when you have an inspiring instructor who really motivates you.

I've started going swimming in a sunday morning too, get there for 9am and have to do 25 lenths or i feel like i've failed.

Even tho my arse back and legs are killing me, i feel fab and feel like i've got lots of energy!

Was amazed that when doing squats that an ACDC track was played - so lil me was at the back with my 2 1kg weight singing away to it :D

Happy days!!! haha x

Is the Davina one good? I used to have one her trainers (Jackie) as my personal trainer and she was great really toned me up when i did LL.

I have been thinking about body pump and if it's good i might give it a go :)

What's HRM? sorry if being dim :(

its a Heart rate monitor - counts how many beats per minute your heart is doing, and informs you via the watch it comes with, that also tells you how many cals your burn ect, my o/h has one as he does a lot of running and mountain biking- very tempted to get on myself!

Hope this helps xxx

First Davina DVD I own but I love it!!! It's really making it easier to keep on top of my work out at home.

Well worth the tenner IMO xxx

I used to go to the gym, but it was expensive and they stopped the 7 o clock session on a Tues/thurs, because "there weren't enough people attending to make it worth while! Excuse me! Everybody paid up front! If 90 people went it wouldn't have made any difference to their income! (sorry call me Mrs Grouchy!) So I didn't renew my subs! Yah boo sucks!
Now for the past month I've had a Wii fit, which is OK but hardly challenging, but I started the EA Sports Active 2 weeks ago and it's really enthused me about exercise! I've lost an inch of my hips and half an inch off my bust since I started! I couldn't come down stairs after the first 2 days! My thighs were agony! But I feel wonderful now, and I'm even getting twitchy if I miss a day! (I have however got a stronger resistance band to make the upper body exercises harder)

PHIL! Trust you to lower the tone! (or is it my dirty mind?;))

haha :D

Well its day two after body pump and i'm still in agony!!!

My legs are bad but my arms are worse :(

Just had to get the o/h's weights bar (the bar weighs 5kg!!) and lift it a few reps just so i can get some movment back in my arms.

Does this aching pain usually happen at first???

Or have i really pulled my mucles bad??? :( x

hello there,
when i first started body pump my mucles ached for at least 4 days after and i mean i could barley lift my arms, lol, i now do it 2 - 3 times a week with 2 body combats thrown in, its great :D
