Hey guys! Last night we talked about strokes and our acceptance of the good things people say about us! Amazingly I rec'd a great one today from the teacher in my class (I am a TA). She said she had noticed how much happier I am already, since being on LL.

I am feeling so good at the mo, long may it last and may I share it all around with my new chums on minimins. :vibes:

Why did I call this recipes??

Because I was going to tell you my LLC had given us all a print out of the unofficial recipes to try..thats why! I am going to try the frozen "chocolate bar". Any one made it?
 
Hi Sez glad you feel good!

I made the chocie bar before, you need to realy freeze it for ages and it thaws real quick but its nice.
 
Is that the one with half chocolate and half vanilla that is meant to be like a mars? Though I haven't tried that I have seen it on my sheet. The only thing I have had is chocolates/truffles made out of the chocolate shake and put in the freezer - I like those :)

It's good that the teacher noticed that you're happier in yourself, great that doing this can cheer up your whole outlook - good on you!

Its weird, I sort of feel a bit high tonight. You know, super bubbly and happy. Most unlike me, I must say. Is there a ketosis high?

Yeah, that's what it felt like for me too. I have been thinking about this, Sez, and have come to the conclusion that it may be something to do with what I WASN'T eating when doing the initial 100 days. The high sugar/fat stuff I used to eat to feel better which I realise now actually made me feel worse! It created a viscious circle of carb high followed by crashing low which was difficult to cope with. A bit of a revelation, really.

At the moment, on week 7 of Management, I am still 'stable' and like it very well. Over the next fews weeks I will be reacquainting myself with various 'trigger' foods, cumulating with sugar/sweet/chocolate foods in week 12. I am having feelings of anxiety about this. What if eating one piece of chocolate sets up this high/low thing again and I can't cope? My counsellor says I don't have to eat anything I am not comfortable with. Anyway, it's all in the future, isn't it?

Additionally, if you are eating four packs a day, you are also consuming 100% of the vitamins, minerals, carbs, fat, protein that is needed to fuel your body on a daily basis. How many of us did that before LL? Hmm...

I really do! Its just our very new head I cant stand, sadly much the same as nearly all our school staff, teachers, TA's, secretary etc!

Still, it wont turn me to food!! Thanks for info on carb highs etc.I had never really thought about it n depth but I am sure you are right. Now, I suppose the real me has chance to come out, unfettered by carbs and sugar!!

At our school the headteacher has been off long term sick for several months now. There is much speculation that he will not be returning. The current Depute is holding the fort just now and we are all pulling together as an inspection looms!!!

There is some discussion as to what will happen in the future. If the head retires, there will be a vacancy to be filled. Will it go to the current Depute (we hope) or will they employ a 'new broom'. No one knows ....

Are you at a High School or a Primary? I am at a primary school. What do you do on a daily basis? I'm just nosy!!

I must qualify that this relates to me, yourself or others may have other triggers which cause the same effect. You may already know what yours are, though!
