I bought the Nike+ kit for my otherhalf.....it only works with Nike+ trainers and ONLY ipod Nano, I got him an 8gb black one and he loves it....tells him how far he's gone. Have a look: http://www.nike.com/nikeplus/

it's pretty cool and the nanos are teeeeeeeny. I need more space for my music though.

I recently accidentally drowned my old black and white screen 20gb ipod....when I am rich, I will buy a video one.....films on ipod.....sounds like fun to me!!

Thanks Nicole :thankyou:

I have looked at the site - I can see the trainers and +kit. How much should I be paying for an ipod nano? Ebay prices vary and Im guessing that the really cheap ones arnt genuine?

I like to do some shopping around...now if you're good and chatty the sales people in Dixons (Currys digital or whatever its called now) can give you good discounts and will throw in stuff for freeeeee..........however, if you just want it bought then I tend to do a comparison, type what you want into google and loads of price comparison sites will come up. In general ebuyer seems to be the place to go and if you sign up with Quidco Quidco - The web's cashback cooperative then you can get a percentage back.....always good to go via Quidco when you can and especially when it's a big purchase....more percent back!!!

Dunno about them not being genuine...they all have their own serial number, would have to investigate that one!!

Hiya

I would always recommend buying an Ipod from Apple directly (Apple (UK and Ireland)) as you get in engraved for free and delivery is free and then if you get any problems you deal directly with the manufacturer.

I have a shuffle, nano and a video ipod (yes I am a geek!) and they are all excellent but the nano is best for running I would say and the Nike+ set is superb.

They are currently doing a special red nano on their website for AIDS relief which looks lovely and very cool!!

I would recommend the 4Gb version as the 2Gb isn't that big but at the same point I doubt you could fill the 8Gb unless you have a huge selection.

One more thing if you are running get a good push or strap to hold it, I use a Nike armband holder thing which I got for £10 on Ebay.

You can use Quidco in the Apple Store too!! so it's a win win......for me....I just wanted the cheapest one that worked!! but I'm a cheapskate!

Oh yeah...I bought an arm band holder thingie too......it was the only thing I bought from the apple site!! Apple Store - U.K. thats the one I got....it's pretty good!!!

Thankyou very muchly!!!!:)

Think I am going to do as you advise - get one from Apple direct and buy a Nike+ thingy - also gives me a great excuse to get some new trainers!!!! Woohoo - half marathon here I come!!!:D
