Anyone seen Gold Blend?

Interesting one, I bought some Gold Blend today and on the front in a little box it says "Did you know you should drink 2 litres of water a day and coffee counts towards that?"

Mmmm!!! I have always understood Coffee to be diuretic and not count towards water intake whether on a diet or not!

Interesting selling point I thought.

some people say it does count, even though caffeine dehydrates you i think. i certainly never count it. if i did i'd easily drink 2 litres a day without trying!

I actually watched a programme a few weeks back called 'The Truth About Food'. They studied twins who every day drank 2L of water. One of the twins stopped drinking the water for a while, whilst the other twin carried on drinking the water as normal. They did tests on each twin at the beginning of the experiment and at the end. The conclusion was that it made no difference whether you drank 2L or not. They said that most water comes from your daily food and drinks i.e. coffee, tea or soft drinks. Interesting.......

Saying all that, it is vital that you drink plenty on CD as it replaces the water from your food.
