Oh only me. 3lbs is still excellent! You wouldn't get that in your second week on any other diet. It is probably just your body adjusting and trying to save energy - but it's going to get a big shock next week when it gets no extra calories and has to eat up the fat! I do understand though, chin up and keep going!
 
I lost 3.6lbs in my second week and was extremely happy because it meant I'd lost 1 stone in 2 weeks; you have to look at the bigger picture, rather than the number on the scales.
 
when I did WW I lost 5 pounds in my second week. I am on the implant and got a period this week for the first time in a year. so I dont know if that had something to do with it?
 
Maybe, it could be a possibility. The average loss on CD is 1 stone a month, which you cannot achieve on something like WW and SW. Don't look at the individual weekly losses, as it can sometimes be disheartening. Look at your monthly loss. CD does work, keep remaining 100% and you will see results x
 
I wonder you know if weighing monthly rather than weekly would be more motivating for some of us
 
It is disheartening when the scales don't show a loss, have you been measuring at all? The inch loss on this diet is amazing, in 5 weeks I have lost 15 inches.

Don't be disappointed with a 3lb loss, after all a loss is a loss! Also about periods, I have the Mirena Coil and after no periods for a few months I had one in my first week on cd then one last week, it was horrendus and made me crave food really bad so much so that I had a blip and I ended up putting on 1lb, but I still lost 3"! Apparently its just a side effect of the diet, not a nice one granted!

Look at your body rather than the scales hun, if the scales read the same but your clothes are getting looser, what is there to be disappointed about? x
 
Hi Only me, I think periods can definately have an effect and I am sure you will have a huge loss next week !

Imagine in a few months time being stones down !!!!

Completely sympathise, at my WI i sts this week, i had had a forkfull or two of food (v.naughty), but not enough to kick me out of ketosis, but i hadn't drank as much water. My cdc measured and said despite not losing pounds i had lost 3" overall, so was probably retaining water, which can weigh heavy. So upping the water this week and should come off next week. Have you been drinking enough? Maybe its worth checking your measurements as this may show a loss? I only need to look at some of the amazing sucesses in here to realise that this does work- and it can for me too! Keep positive, you can do it! xx
 
Hi Onlyme! I only lost 3lbs last week and I was really good and didn't pick, felt a little disappointed in myself but then thought 11lbs in two weeks isn't bad at all is it?! Just think - 3lbs a week is loads! (I put six packets of lard together in the supermarket and thought to myself 'that's 3lbs' WOW it's a lot :)

I was just thinking that myself the other day but wondered if it would be too much of a stuggle during the month to keep motivated.. hmmmmm
 
Is it wrong that I am upset because I only lost 3 pounds in my second week?

It's very frustrating for people like me who only average a 3lb loss each week anyway. I just got home from WI and lost 1/2lb this week but that is still a loss and hopefully will be back up to losing 3lbs again next week. Celebrate your loss!
 
I only lost 3 in my second week too and periods definitely have a lot to answer for when it comes to weight loss!!
