ReStarting CD for the 400-millionth time today!!!

So, it's the 400-millionth time I am trying to start CD and this time I am going to stick to it - no matter what!!! It is only 11:05, but normally by 11, I have given in to temptation and had a cake or something fattening, so far so good then!

Brief history, I used to be 9stone 5lbs but fell in love and stopped playing Hockey which contributed to my huge weight gain. I am now 16stone 13lbs and have been this weight for about 3 years so think it's about time I lost it, once and for all! I am tired of not going out because I feel fat and horrible, I am tired of never having something to wear and I am tired of not being able to wear nice clothes because everything makes me look like a tent!

My plan is to lose as much as I can before I go home to South Africa in December to see my mum (I've not been home since Christmas '04!!). I'd love to be able to walk around in a bikini - at home obviously- and not worry too much about what I look like.

This is the hardest diet I have ever had to follow but the most rewarding - so fingers crossed I can stick to it. Wish me luck!!!

Hi Kim,

Welcome to MiniMins and good luck with CD.

You have set yourself a very good goal for Christmas, but you also need to set yourself some short term goals that are achievable as these will help to keep you motivated.

Be sure to take photos now and again at every stone lost along with your body measurements as this will help you see the difference in yourself.

Make a motivational inspirational board and put pics of how you were at 9st. 5lb and bikinis you might like to wear and favourite clothes in December along with anything you feel will motivate you.

Here is a link to help you put your weight tracker into your signature as your post will automatically be moderated otherwise. If you need any help please ask.

Welcome Kim!

Going home is a great motivation. You have a goal set and you know what to do to go get it. Good luck, welcome back and keep us posted.

Yay!!!! I'm on day 2 and I'm still on it!

Thanks for your replies and good wishes- it's such a thrill to log on and have msg's waiting (I know that's sad but hey, whatever gets me through this!!)

Mini, I'll take some pictures tonight and measure myself as I know how quickly the weight can come off. The first time I did it I lost 11lbs in the first week so hope I can achieve that this time too. I'll work on some mini goals and post them up soon.

Thanks again Ladies - it's so amazing to have support from people I have never met!

Have a great day. xxx

Ok just added some mini goals. As I am new to this, let me know if you think they are unrealistic!

hi kimba,

you'll do this. My first time my weight was similar to yours 16st 11lb I started on august 1st and was down to 11 4lb by xmas. I sole sourced 100%.

Your mini goals look great and it won't be long till you're striking them off. Also if you want to do a ticker - the tutorials take you through it step by step.

Here's to your xmas bikini body!

Hi Amm451
Wow - well done you! To be honest it's great to hear from others how quickly they have lost their weight - I know it's not about how quick you lose it - but it helps!

Ran 2 miles yesterday and not aching today. I take that as a good sign!!!

I'll be dragging myself out of bed tomorrow at 6.30am for another 2 mile run and hope I can beat my time, even by 30 seconds. Fingers crossed....
