When do you stop?

My first goal - the one in the stats at the side - was to get to 9stone. Then I really wanted to be 8stone 10lbs, my dream weight ever since I first went to WW back in 1996!!! (And this is the first time I've ever gotten there :D)

Now that I'm 8stone 9lbs, I'm thinking: Hmmm, 8stone 7lbs isn't so far away . . .

(Well for me it is, because I'm the slowest loser on the board, I think :D I'm happy with that but we could be talking another two months to lose 2lbs!!!)

But then, would I think: Hmmm, 8stone 4lbs sounds nice (it already is)

How do you know when enough is enough?

xx

i think its ok to lose it but you need to be able to maitain it,i set mine to low once and couldnt manage it,i think if you feel good then stop,im a good stone heavier than when i set my target so low but am happy at what im at so gonna set target soon i think, only you sees the scales others see you as you are dont make yourself ill that you end up with an eating disorder just to be a light number on the scales

Hi harrie, well done first of all for reaching your target, woo hoo. I think you will know yourself what weight you should be, if you do lose it but think it is too much lost, or too hard to maintain then you can let yourself put on a few lbs. x

Firstly well done on getting to target Harrie, that is a fab achievement. I initially set my target as 7stone 12lbs (I thought that I could float about from here to the 8stone mark) but after thinking about it I thought that it might be difficult to maintain so increased my target to 8stone. I'm glad I did because it's taking me forever to lose 8lbs as my life seems to get in my way if you know what I mean. You could set yourself a mini target and see how you get on and if you get there what is it like to maintain. I do believe that we find a weight that we are happy with ~ good luck to you xx

So long as you're happy and healthy, it's all good. Your BMI is still in the healthy range and for your height, you sound about perfect! Just make sure it's something you can maintain :) xxx

You WILL know when you get there Harrie, either you will stop losing or struggle to maintain.
We all want that extra few pounds, I still want to lose some more but it is difficult to maintain at this weight, it takes me a lot of work and determination so I don't really think I could maintain any lower. So, whilst I'd love to lose a few more, I don't think I could so I've had to stop and get it into my head that this is the weight I'm going to be.

One other thing, as long as your BMI is in the healthy range, you are fine - that's a good indication (as is OH saying you are getting boney - that's what I get!!)

Well done chick.xxx
