Spicey sauce

I made this last night to go over my green beans (not keen!) and it was really tasty

Make 4 portions - 1/2 sin each

tin tomatoes (I blitz mine in blender to make smooth - you could use passata)
garlic cloves to taste
onions - sliced
pepper - sliced
1/2 chilli - chopped (omit if you don't like spicey foods)
splodge ketchup
basil

'fry' onions, garlic and peppers & chili until cooked. Add tomatoes, basil and ketchup. Simmer until cooked and to blend flavours together.

Freezes!

We had it over beans but would work over pasta or rice etc too.


I've tried lots of the recipes on here and it's saved me pounds on recipe books! Thanks everyone!
