Today Michael graduated from Nursery. First he had a party from 2.30-4pm then at 4pm they held a Graduation Ceremony for all the class. We all sat down and then the kids were called one by one to go to their teachers to Graduate. When they reached the teachers they were given a Mortar Hat which they'd previously helped decorate, a laminated certificate, a best wishes card with a photo of the child with the 2 teachers on the front and a wrapped gift. Michaels gift was a book. After all the kids had been applauded they lined up for a photo all wearing their hats THEN the final photo they were told to throw their hats up into the air - LOL.
It was very nicely done and a nice end to his time at Nursery. They told us all to go back and visit and I informed them we'd be popping in after his first half day on 10th September with him in uniform.

Michael today also met his new teachers at his new BIG school - he enjoyed nosing round the room playing with odd toys etc.... the Teachers seemed nice and approachable and we had a good natter.

THE END OF AN ERA !!!!!

I have posted some pics on Facebook (I can never get them to post on here) if anyone wants a peek.

Ah, that sound like a really nice day, and a few tears from mum as well I bet, good luck to Micheal when he starts his big school. X

I didn't get as far as tears but def got a lump in my throat. I think it is because I know Michael is my last child it is more poignant.

My middle child has just left junior school - I cried buckets when they sang a song about their 'micklefield blue' Your ceremony sounds wonderful what fantastic nursary teachers. All my children think it's very funny that I cry at anything.
