BodyOptomise and Not Understanding EE

Hi All,

Long time reader, first time poster :D

I did SW a while ago and lost nearly 2 stones, but when I went back to uni I put on about 1 stone

Now I'm at work I'd like to finally get to my target weight. I lost 7lbs on Atkins (which made me VERY ill ) but I started SW online a couple of weeks ago.

I don't really understand the new EE diet - I miss the weekly meetings with my consultant, but I've signed up for 3 months online.

What are you all eating in the day? I still find it weird mixing green and red together

I think you just have to suspend belief and go for it with EE, I certainly have and haven't looked back! As long as you just have your 1 hea and 1 heb, fill up on all the free red and green food that's it! Couldn't be simpler and none of the weighing that made red and green such a faff! I know it sounds too good to be true but trust me it works! (for me, I know some folk don't like it) I think folk that are new to SW find it easier. But then when you came to SW the first time you didn't believe you could lose weight eating all this food! So a typical day would be
Breakfast " egg omelette
Mid morning banana
Lunch couscous salad with loads of veg and chickpeas, mullerlight and a piece of fruit But you could have salmon/ tuna/ ham/ chicken instead of the chickpeas.
Tea chilli made with beef mince kidney beans and a mound of rice
With the option of eating my weetabix crunchy bran as a snack while watching tv.
I use milk as my hea.

EE is just as judimac says much less faffing! i use my hex A on milk usually with cereal (hexB), or if i want cheese as my hex a i don't have cereal that day for breakfast. It makes dinner in the evening really easy as i just dish up with everyone else (i.e they have SW dinner too!) and have my usual meals with some extra veges or salad. The first week i did EE i did it straight from the magazines suggested meals and it helped me get my head round it. Sometimes i still do red and green if i want my hex's, but EE really is easy, suspend belief and try it!

As the others have said, just go for it - I love it and it has worked for me. It really is a family friendly way of eating and something that is much easier for some people to stick with long term. I love having lasange, bolognese and spaghetti and meatballs-all things I like, but had to limit on the green(unless I used quorn) Remember if you don't feel happy with your losses, switch to red or green as some people find it does not suit them, and SW is so flexible and full of good food to eat. Planning may help you with your first week or 2 and as one of the ladies said, the magazine has a great 7 day menu. Good luck with your journey and any questions - just ask, there is always someone about who may be able to help.

Hi All,

Thanks for your replies.

I think that's a good idea - planning a few weeks in advance. I'll do a big shop at ASDA and get a load of Free Food :D

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Must admit EE seems a bit odd to me. I last did SW about 10 years ago when it didn't exist! For me the big thing that made SW different was that you didn't combine foods (I know it's not a food combining diet), or if you did you did it with caution. So for me EE seems to go against what made SW different.

Having said that, I'm giving it a go today!

When I joined SW the first time, not only did EE not exist, but the diet was red days only and only vegetarians were supposed to do green days!

I rejoined again last year and have been doing EE since it came out in January and it's SO much easier and convenient!

SW never had EE when I joined before so I had to do green and red, which I think is probably why I gave up in the end as I like all the free foods, mixed together in quantities I like!
I am going to carry on EE while I continue losing and even after that.
For me it's great and the only way to go.
Seven weeks this time round and I am as inspired as I was my first day, thanks to EE and this forum!

Hi all

Have just completed my second day and I'm doing EE.

I did toy with the idea of chucking some red days in there simply to restrict heavy carbs but after reading this thread I've decided to stick with EE!

I am henceforth suspending belief!

The real test will be this weekend - two days with my other half and his army mates .... scary thought! I'm going with steaks and jackets plus counted syns of gin and slimline or vodka. Sheesh!

May I ask how much weight in general people have lost doing EE? If not, just tell me to shush!

xxxxx

I have lost 7.5 pounds in 6 weeks which is not large losses, but fine for me!
I know some people lose much more, though.
