ANYONE TRIED GO APE?

sparkelwings

in my dreams!!!!!!
God, i went for my friends daughter birthday treat (ha!) this weekend at Go APe in Thetford forest and have come home a quivering wreck:wave_cry: for those that don't know it it is like an assault course 60ft in the trees!

i have never know fear like it and have probably lost stones by shaking and sweating:cry: i should have known better esp as i'm afraid of heights but didn't think it would be as bad as it was.

i laugh about it now as i am counting my bruises and ache all over from using muscles that have never been used before:eek: but will never, never, NEVER do it again!

well, thats me ranting about something thats nothing to do with sf at all but had to get it off my chest. will see if i've managed to lose anything thurs but as i had several pints aftrwards to calm my nerves, i doubt it!

I would love to go and do it but 2 reasons why I haven't beacuse -
1) I think i may be too heavy for it!!
2) I'm also scared of heights!!

Well done you though!! When is weigh in?
xx

hi hun, i didn't even think about my weight when i was swinging away too worried about where i was putting my feet ha ha! wi is thurs  so quite close.

Not tried Go Ape yet, though my son wants to do it. My Dad took us all to Center Parcs for his 60th last year though and i had to do the High Ropes course - that was absolutely terrifying, I have no idea how I managed to get though it but couldn't lose face by chickening out in front of my husband, brother, Dad & son!

Ha ha, Sparkel you're so brave, you wouldn't get me on that no way! I'm not so scared of heights as such, but have a big fear of falling, so def wouldn't be my thing at all! Good luck on your wi, all that activity (mainly the shaking with fear lol!) must've been great for you!! :)
