Hi people!!

Quick question about noodles...in the book on a green day, it says that plain/dried noodles are free, but I had some Amoy, straight to wok noodles, and using the Syn calculator online, it says they are 3 syns on a green day.

What's the definition of plain/dried noodles, and how do I know if they are syn free, coz I know supernoodles arn't unless they are the light/reduced fat ones or whatever they are.

Anyone know?????

I believe you have to syn the 'wet' ones so if you got some that have any form of moisture in them already then you have to syn them. The dried ones that you add water too that have no flavouring or anything are free. I think lol.

Plain/dried noodles are the ones that come in blocks and need to be rehydrated in water before they become soft. These are syn-free on green and EE.

The ready to use ones are not usually syn-free (as you've discovered) because the manufacturers add oil to stop them sticking to each other in the packet.

Hope this helps.

Ahhhh....yeah that makes sense!! Thanks. I love noodles.... mmmmmm.....
