Why am I finding it so hard?

I came off plan for a few days, for the first couple of days I stuck to low carb foods, then friday it was my wedding anniversary and Saturday night I was at a wedding reception. Friday I didn't make the healthiest of choices, but saturday I did. I've been back on plan since sunday morning, and I'm usually in ketosis by half way through the second day, which is today, however I'm not in ketosis and I fell really rough, a lot worse than the usual first day or so. I'm sticking to it 100% and having the water, but I just want to cry :wave_cry::cry:

Its so hard to get back into isn't it. Just stick to it and afterv4 or so days you will be better.

Thanks both! I'm intending on 100% SSing until I get to a healthy BMI or I'm pregant. Only 6 weeks until my fertility appointment!

Hope you're feeling a bit better, getting back on track is always a struggle.

Good luck with your 100% SS, I'm sure you'll be fine once you're back in the swing of things!

Hey Ruth, sorry you are having a hard time of it. I had a week and a bit of 810 and went a little off plan as we are on holiday at the moment. I started SS 100% again yesterday and today has been hard and I have had a headache and feel very hungry and want to pick pick pick.

But... I have reminded myself that I got through the first couple of weeks ok and then stuck with it for an amazing 12 weeks, lost weight and felt brilliant with it.

Look at the positives and what you want to achieve in the next 6 weeks - you can get through this tough time!!

Awww bless ya.

I had a meal for my hubby's 40th last week and I found it sooooooooo hard the next few days when getting back on to ss. I even realised it probably wasn't worth it! But lesson learnt eh?!

i find the quicker you get yourself back onto SS the easier it is. Previously iwouod come off for a few days to a week and getting back on was a nightmare for all reasons mentioned above. however this weekend i came off = i was so desperatly unhappy and weepy on saturday that i had some sainsburys be good to yoruself tuna fishcakes. and sunday night i had some chicken and basil pasta with a fruit jelly. but i still made sure i drank at least 2 litres of water so i started again yesterday and luckily the scales said i had stayed the same since saturday....hope theyd ont show a gain today!

Hi Ruth stick with it, it will be worth it.... I never deviated from SS whilst I was doing it as I knew it would be so hard for me to get back on plan afterwards, so despite it being my birthday, children's birthdays and other various special occasions, I stuck to SS all the way through, once I get to goal is the time I will celebrate for all the things I missed.... it is one birthday out of the rest of my life, so I stuck to it through thick and thin... good luck with getting back on course.... you have done so well so far...

Really feel for you my dear it is so hard to get back on the diet when you have had a couple of days off, hopefully your feeling a little better today though and once your back in ketosis you will be fine, your doing so well keep it up my dear xxxx

Hi Ruth
Here's what I have done in the past where I've faltered...get a big bit of paper. Draw a line down the middle. Write 'Pros' and 'Cons' at the top. Now fill in all the good things about CD, losing weight generally, and how you have felt about yourself in the Pro column. Then be honest and write down the cons in the other column.

Really be honest, nobody will see it but you - but it will help you refocus.

I know you 'know' these things without having to write them down. But when you're having trouble focusing, these thoughts all swirl around in your head, with your Ethel (whatever she's called) arguing with you at every turn. If you write it all down, you get it all out of your head and onto paper, and you can look at it dispassionately and tell Ethel to shut up - the evidence for your choice is there in front of you.

Like we were discussing (I'm not having a go sweetie) this is YOUR choice. You can choose to do it, or not. Either way is fine. But which choice will move you nearer to your goal?

((((hugs)))

when I am finding it hard, I just look at pictures of people looking how I want to look! and tell myself I spent 5 years putting this on, if I can take it off in less...I have done well! hope this helps...keep smiling :)
