Stay strong, stay focused! I to have been on and off, lose a stone or two and stop without realising! You've made a massive positive step!

Good luck hun

Lets be positive! You didn't let it all come back before you started again! Good girl! And you know that you feel better when you're doing it! Good girl again! Now all we have to work on is keeping the motivation going! This is where I've come unstuck in the past, but this time I'm focussing on clothes. I've already had to lose my favourite skirt as it's too big (and too complicated to alter, lots of panels) so I'm trying on my old too small clothes, and new t-shirts that I bought and were too tight! And my wardrobe has nearly doubled lately! This time I'm determined to do it!

thanks you 2! motivation is definatley the key. i dont know why (or how to sort it) but i always seem to go off track so easily and since ive got about 12 stone to lose i dont know how i can lose track so quickly after not even a stone!

inside i feel im a size 12, its only when i look in the mirror i think "oh, thats me!" im astounded at my size, i dont know how i didnt notice myself getting so big before now.

has anyone got any ideas on how to cut out emotional eating? im such a boredom/stressful/sad eater, these seem to be the hardest times to get through.

10am - nectarine

130 - salmon & pepper stir fry (2.5)

Hi Mate

I think sometimes when we have a lot to lose it makes is psychologically harder. 1 stone can mean not very much when we look at the task ahead.

The thing that has helped me so far is to not go for the tempting 'quick fix' of trying to lose tons as quickly as possible. This is the first time ever in years of yo-yo dieting that I have decided to do it slowly. My initial goal was to lose half a pound per week. This sounds impossibly slow but the important thing is it allows me to lead a 'normal' life where I don't become diet obsessed and hungry and over time the weight loss really adds up. I am 5 stone down, although it has taken 67 weeks so far- slow but a massive change

Free foods are there for emotional eating times- don't feel guilty about piling your plate high with them.

Good luck

cocktail princess thats a really good way to look at losing weight. congratulations on your 5 stone, thats amazing! i was looking to lose 1lb per week so to lose 12 stone it would take me 3 years which isnt a long time and im happy with that, but the way things are going i cant even lose that! i must get my head around the thought that im DOING IT!! was at a meeting lastnight so missed dinner, grabbed a sandwich on the way home which turned out to be a low fat one. i followed this with a microwave burger, twix, galaxy & crisps! i just went daft and spoiled the day for dieting so todya is a new day thank goodness.

2 poached eggs on toast (HXB) & 2 tsp butter (4) - must find a low cal spread instead of butter!
