Ive been ss+ing for 8 weeks now and have the occasional meal 'allowed' usually chicken & salad or tuna & salad...however i dont really know or ever asked if tuna is allowed! im having tuna 150g drained in water

Im still losing weight obviously but wanted to check thanks

Yep, tinned tuna in spring water is definitely allowed - can't remember how much though. x

I think you're allowed 225g of it!

Does anyone know the max weight of green salad and grilled chicken you can have? And can you get knocked out of ketosis if you do go over the stated weight? I'd say I have been having 200g of grilled chicken and 3 big handfuls of green leaves and hellmans fat free vinaigrette. This is my 1 week og ss+ and I don't want to get out of ketosis just for a week! I can't bear weighing lettuce and raw chicken!!!

Yes, you can get knocked out of ketosis if you have a little too much salad etc.. for me, that's simply meant I've experienced an all mighty hunger lasting about 10 mins or so.. and I've lost 2 or 3 pounds in a week, rather than 3 or 4.. so not a great plan, but no major health risks to a bit of extra salad, so I've been a little vague with it - Naughty me! :)

a) 120g chicken or turkey breast, no skin
b) 190g cod, haddock or other white fish
c) 250g steamed tofu
d) 200g quorn
e) 180g tuna (in water)
f) 225g cottage cheese (reduced fat)

Steamed, grilled, boiled. No sauces.

asparagus
broccoli
cabbage
cauliflower
celery
courgettes
cucumber
lettuce (all kinds)
spinach

(think the veg is supposed to be a couple of spoonfuls.. or the equivilant if it's bigger than a spoon..)

I'd say the salad has been more than a few spoonfuls. I will have to start using the ketostix and keep an eye on it.

haha! I know!! to be honest, I never have done.. but I can see the difference between 2 tablespoons and the amount I've sometimes accidently had  :p

I usually just bung a handfull of spinach on the plate and hope that's about right!!!
