Morning all,

Just thought i would update you on progress. Well... Friday (Day 1) wasthe hardest so far - being at work and very cold all day - had a hot bath on Friday night to warm me up and went to bed early. :( Yesterday I went out to the Cinema for my mums birthday and then we went for "lunch". I managed to stick to my Velvet Tetra whilst my mum and sister had popcorn, nachos and a big lunch! :D Then last night we went to a 21st party. The buffet was yummy with nice chicken wings (my weakness) and bread etc... anyway - I managed to avoid that too and drink LOTS of water! :D Day 3 and I woke up this morning with DP having a HUGE hangover and starving kids in the house - so cooked sausage sandwiches (which I ADORE) and I managed to stick to not having any of those too! Just a pint of water and a tetra! :D

Loving this diet and believe I CAN do this! Think weeks 5/6 will be the hardest as thats when I get bored... but on a mission this time!

Thanks for all your support so far

A xxxx :p

Well done! When I started the diet I had to lock myself away for the week, just couldn't cope with watching others eating, so you've done so well to cope with the food related challenges. This diet is indeed fantastic, and as long as you stick to it, it'll work really well. I've lost 4 stone 4lb in 4 months, and I never thought I could do it! Keep going and you'll see a fantastic loss. And in 4 months, by the end of June, I'm sure you'll pretty much be at goal .... how exciting!

WOW I admire your determination, I'm on day 3 too, BUT I think I would have had to go home early from the party or pulled a 'sickie'!!!
How ru finding the drinks/soups? So far I really like them BUT the chilli one upset my stomach, even though it was yummy. Hope your determination continues, are you in ketosis yet?

well done you xxxx
i bet you weeks 5/6 wont be that hard as you will be seeing the results and will want to carry on best of luck chick xxxxx

Well done your doing great and deserve a sainthood for resisting all thoise things!! The buffet would have killed me im afraid!! Sarahxx.

Thanks for your replies - its interesting to hear how everyone else has coped and I love to see how long it has taken people to loose weight - it gives me motivation to know that "oh well if they lost that much in that time, so could I"!
Voodoo - I have 5 stone to loose - what about you? Maybe we could be buddies! Anyhow - Im not feeling the soups much - I havent got a blender so I think that is making them taste a bit rubbish! I had the Chicken and Mushroom on Day 1 and that was nice - bit powedery but thats ok - I was so cold that the smell of Chicken and the fact that it was hot was brilliant. You cant really taste the mushroom. At the moment I am having a tetra fo breakfast (banana) a tetra for lunch (Chocolate) and a soup for dinner. I am really looking forward to the Mint choc shake hot later in the week!

Good luck to all of you on your journeys - even though most of you are already there!

Looking forward to the future slimmer us!

Hi again, I have approx 7-8 stone to lose, I've already lost 5 stone on Slimming world, Gillian MacKeith & South Beach. So I still have a way to go! Yes, buddies would be great!:)
If you can afford it, get a hand blender, they go for £10-£20, well worth it! Spicy tomato & mushroom are REALLY nice, just like regular soups! I even tried them in a bowl with a spoon BUT the temptation to dip a cob (bread roll) in it was too much!!!;) I'm sticking with drinking them from a mug or the the cup/thingy that the blender uses. Mint choc is very nice, as is the chocolate one, I don't like strawberry, banana or fruit flavours in anything, except the real fruit. Capuccino is pretty good too, I made mine up pretty hot & with more water, it was like a 'proper' capuccino, except for not being frothy & having chocolate sprinkles!!!lol I haven't tried the tetras yet, though they'll come in handy on holiday or days out, the choc one sounds lovely.
I don't know if I'm in ketosis yet, I'm still REALLY hungry & tummy is growling & burbling loads. How is your hunger? I'm drinking 3-4l of water + some green tea to help with the hunger, I feel like I should be 'sloshing' with every movement;)

Thanks Achelois for your post on my diary!! Im always here for you too if you need any support or a good moan, it does help to have someone to turn to at times. You will need to give me a good kick up the bum at times but I promise to do the same in return if needed!!
Good luck with the rest of the week, whens your first weigh in?? Speak soon sarahxx.

Hey Achelois,

Just wanted to give you some words of encouragement- I'm just at the end of my 2nd week and when I was on day 3 this point seemed like forever away! My advice would be try not to concentrate on dieting too much and try to carry on with life as normally as you can (altho its tricky!). You will find that the days soon turn into weeks, and the weight falls off before you've even realised its happened!

I'm so happy for you starting off on this amazing journey, you have all my support! If you like, check out my blog- I try and keep it daily so that ppl following know how its going. The link is below in my signature!

Good luck!! Can't wait to see your losses! xxx

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for all your encouraging posts. I am on a mission BIG TIME! *wink*

Voodoo - Hunger not too bad - when I get the gremlins/rumbling I have a pint of COLD water and that seems to stop it. Although, pint this morning made me a little sick as I drank it too fast!

SarahP - First weigh in Next Thursday night - seems like a million miles away - but DETERMINED! Will let you all know (if its good)!

Wannabeslim - I read your blog - you seem pretty determined and very positive. Kepp at it WE WILL BE SLIM we wont just WANT TO BE!
