I lost the plot!

Feeling fab!
Well day 5 of refeed yesterday and i lost it!!

I had my shake for breakfast, my lunch and binged in the afternoon.

I am ashamed and disappointed in myself - also have been in despair.

Everything was going ok and i can't believe i succumbed. I couldn't sleep thinking about how bloody stupid i had been. At least on TFR i had control, knew what i was having each day,3 shakes and now totally lost control.

I don't want to undo all my hard work over the past 25 weeks,i am not a quitter and just don't undersatnd why i did it!!!

I have been advised by LT to take the maintenance products, so 2 per day and start introducing food again, i hope this works and i don't fill up my glycogen stores the wrong way - i am praying that it will all come good in the end eventually.

I tell you i have really learnt my lesson and it certainly isn't worth it.
I raided the cupboards like a woman posessed scoffing on flapjacks, muffinsbiscuits and funny thing is i didn't even enjoy it!(not my cupboards by the way - works)

I have to think ahead now and keep positive otherwise i will just dwell and don't want to give in again ,so have a huge supply of maintenance products and at least i nipped it on the bud straight away and have taken action. Even though i know i have done wrong i have to keep in the right frame of mind.

Feel free to kick my ass and also any advice would be good.

Not gonna kick your arse.....(however much you beg ;)) simply because you are human, and we will still do human things. One day isn't going to make you put on 7st, so don't fret on it. You're back on track now, and well done for your success so far!!! xxxx

dont worry I think we all will go through this either on refeed or maintenance, but its about saying that's it!!! lets get back on the wagon. I still use maintenance products even though I have been on maintenance for a while because I dont feel as hungry. I only use one a day usually at lunch but it appears to help me keep control.

Awwww Slinky! Don't beat yourself up. As you say - there's no way forward into the past - ahead is the only way to think. You've nipped it in the bud & while it might be helpful at some point to try to understand why you did it, maybe now isn't the time to think about that.

I've only just posted in another thread how fab you're looking. One cupboard raid isn't going to spoil that.

Chin up! ;) xx

Thanks to all who responded for your kind words - i would be lost without mm.;)

Well i have picked myself up after my little blip on Wednesday(got straight back on thursday) and i am taking things at my pace regards to refeeding. I am having two maintenance products and one meal and it's working for me. Feel much more in control, and will introduce another meal when i feel ready. I feel this is the best option for me at the moment.

I weighed in today and lost 2lbs :D
I am really enjoying the maintenance products, they are yummy and so filling!

Well done Slinky on getting back on the wagon and losing 2lb:happy096:

Hi there
1st of all you look fab and you have done amazing and this wont put all your weight back on. I know it's scary I also lost the plot on about day 4 with maintenance, something takes over and before you know it the control has gone. Well done you for not ignoring it and getting back on track. Your message now has just stopped me from eating all the shopping as I was putting it away so thank you. As much as we find TFR hard we soon get into it and dare I say even enjoy it. I know newbies would find it hard to believe but TFR is easier than maintenance. Stay focused and 2lb loss is great.:)

well done for getting back on track quickly slinky . Maintenance has its ups and downs for everyone and it takes a while to settle down to what works for you. You had one short slip up ,the thing is to learn from it and put it behind you now . You will find what works for you but give it time :D

Dear Slinky, first of all well done, huge congratulations for getting this far. Bet you remember when a binge that was supposed to last til Sunday night, carried on for a year or two! So one slip up is totally fine. I'm on day four of LT, it's my first time, and it's absolute HELL. Just reading your post has given me inspiration. Any tips?

Hi Slinky
Have not been on much recently and its wonderfull that you have reached your goal and are maintaining. OK you have had a blip but it stopped there!. You look fantastic and what an achievement it will inspire so many others. Experiencing the pitfalls helps us all to learn from them and that is what is so good about this support group. Hey well done on your 2lb loss.:D

Fab loss and well done for nipping it in the bud! xx

Thanks michillin, i think you're right - you do have to find what is best for you and go at your own pace which i am finding out now.
