Skipping Shakes...

Does skipping shakes affect weightloss? I dont think I could take that much liquid in one day... have started sole source and am full on 2... do I need the 3? Please help...
 
yeah you need the nutrients in them xx
 
i think it can yes from what i have read from other threads it can slow weight loss down. ask your cdc for advice you should be able to phone her/him. hope that helps.
 
i have been doing the same and today my CDC told me i am slowing my loss down by not having all 3 packs and not drinking enough water
 
I can manage the water... I just drink the shakes and after the second I am trying not to throw up... I dont mind the taste but there not for me if you get what I mean. I will try the 3 a day and see how I get on... I dont think I can stomach it though. I have just over two stone to lose in 2 months... is this possible?
 
occasionally i skip a meal (i am on 4 a day) but very rarely. if i do it 2 days in a row it can stall my weight loss.

if you are only on 3 then you really should try to have them all. maybe try a frozen tetra as they take ages to eat and it doesnt feel like you are drinking loads?

After the first two weeks, why not get some bars, so you'd do two shakes a day plus a bar, instead of the three shakes?
 
I am only on the shakes... I havent brought anything else. I am going to have to get my ass into gear then if I want to shift this two stone by september... And I am a gannit and If i could eat cerial bar type things it wont be long before Im shoveling chocolate into my mouth... atm Im pretty sure no food at all is the best policy!!! xx

Ah, I'm sure you and your CDC will sort something out between you which works for you.

How about a porridge for breakfast? They're not as 'liquidy' if you see what I mean?
 
Yeah maybe I could try that! Last week I ate quite a bit... sort of one day I went to the cinema and had popcorn... then the next day I had a curry but apart from that I was really strict and I lost 10 pounds. I am just really worried if it slows down to a pound a week I will eventually give up :( Have you felt like this?
 
So far I've been ok, I'm a bit nervous about this afternoon's WI though; I've had to switch from morning to afternoon so I know my loss won't show much because of that, if you see what I mean.

Keep posting on here, and keep your ticker going. If you start to have a wobble then the good people on Minimins are here to support you :D

I've had such good support from the guys here I daren't cheat, I'd feel like I was letting *them* down as well as myself! I think that is helping me keep on track for sure :)
 
without the 3 packs, you dont get the right amount of nutriants...without that, your body can go into starvation mode and start retaining fat rather than letting is all go!
I hate to say it but you need NEED NEEEEED to make sure your having your 3 meals a day to help you lose weight hun!

Ok I am gunna do it :) They sweet flavoured ones are really nice with ice in arent they? One thing I think Im gunna find it hard to cut out is squash!!! I dont really like the taste of water.. I am doing well though, Ive lost 9 inches too. Its really inspiring and helpful looking through this site. Thanks for the advice xx
 
you REALLY need to cut the squash out hun as it isnt going to help with your journey....just think, 34lbs can be done in under 3 months....3 months out of the rest of your life isnt a big thing hun...just focus on the diet, and the scales wont lie.
CD also do a Vegetable and fruit water flavouring to help ,but not sure if its limited to a certain amount per day..but its worth asking your CDC about...
I usually have my shakes wizzed up in a smoothy maker with loads of extra water and ice cubes as i find the shakes too sweet now otherwise....

The choc ones are nice hot as a coco as well!

You can also add herbs and certainly flavouring to the shakes....like curry powder, cumin etc...you just have to make sure there is no salt content in what you add...

When you get into week 2/3, you can have the shakes as puddings, and also you can have a bar to eat....also the frozen terta's are supposed to be lovely!

No more squash :) I hope I can do it in 2 months :( I go on holiday for 9 days at the start of september... and really really dont want to be a fatty on the beach!!! Your thinking about it right... one thing I am majorly stressing about... What about when I have to start eating again?

You have 9 weeks hun to change your relationship with food....and also if you work up the plans properly and accept that you will not "go back" to eating the way you did before then you will be fine.
This is just the easy bit...the hard bit is when you hit maintenance and you have to control the food yourself!
You will look fab on holiday!The diet wont fail you if your 100%! :)

Hello Danix, you started cc the same day as I did. My cdc has been great, have tried the veg flavouring and the water flavour, it works as I really dont like the amount of plain water.
I'm heading on holiday at the end of August and would like to think I hit the 21lbs lost mark by then. Keep going, use this site, its the best one I've found and I have the T shirt for diets and diet sites.
I am soooooooooooooooooo fed up of cheating and have realised I am only cheating myself. Keep going seems everyone here is here to support each other. fan******tastic people thanks from us newcomers.
