question of perception

:cry:Hi there everybody a question to guys and gals out there is it just me or is anybody else afraid to ditch their big clothes and wear the smaller ones, eg i still cant bear to part with my bridget jones knickers and i still wear my size 20 jeans and xxl tshirt even though the jeans keep falling down and the t shirt is like a billowing tent, i tried on small knickers size 16 jeans and a tight top and my husbands eyes popped out of their sockets, well only literally speaking!!!LOL, but i felt uncomfortable, does anyone else feel like this as its getting me down, i suppose i will have to post some pictures, you see i have been big for over 10 years, i would love some advice:thankyou:

Feel good in the new you! You've put in all the hard work in and now is your time to shine! I dont need to see any pictures, I can bet you a hundred euro that them size 20 jeans and xl t-shirts are doing nothing for you, your newer smaller clothes will make you look better, skinnier and sexier! Your uncomfortable because your lacking in confidence, and that’s quite understandable after 10 years of being overweight, it does start to beat you down a little.
Take my word for it, start wearing your new smaller clothes and the compliments you will get will build your confidence levels right back up in no length.
Take all your old bigger clothes and dump them as you are NEVER going to need them again!
Best of luck chick J xxxx

i understand completly how you feel! just try on your new smaller clothes and spend a few times in the mirror everyday. it really helps boost your confidence! also compare a picture of you from before to one now! you just need to get out of your "fat girl" mentality and embrace the new skinny you! i'm 100% you look absolutely stunning in your new clothes. :) xxx

You just need to get your head round the new you chick!

Glam yourself up until you feel so beautiful, but your new clothes on and get some one to take pictures of you!

I bet you look bloody amazing! and I hope you feel better after your amazing loss!!

Your clothes should reflect how you feel chick xxxx

It does take a bit of getting used to, wearing clothes that fit. But wear the smaller sizes, I've got my bigger sizes packed away under my bed for now. You'll be supprized how quickly you can go down a size or two. I've just buying what I need to get by for now in Primark/Pennys. Can't wait until I get to my goal and maintain for a while or so. Then I'll get my new clothes.

I understand how you feel. It feels weird (but great) to let go of those bigger clothes and the bigger you - but it's a big (lol) change too, our bodies and also our mentalities are changing with the weight loss, and the way we feel about ourselves.

For me, I'm wearing clothes ranging from size 22 to size 16 - but definitely feeling good about the 18/16s i'm wearing. I'm finding I'm more confident about wearing more fitted clothing than i would have been when i was a size 18 or 16 the first time round.

You've got to find your sense of YOU, as well as your sense of style I think. And your sense of YOU is crucial to your happiness.
