Atkins After Surgery??

Hi - can anyone tell me when Atkins can be started after surgery?

Thanks for your reply Laura. I just know that CD says it has to be 3 months but thats a VLCD. As Atkins is a low carb diet and not a VLCD I just wondered if they had any contraindications.

Hmm, interesting. I was still on OWL when I had my hip replacement and that caused no problems. I'd speak to your GP though frankly.

Thanks for the reply Jim. I am thinking the high protein levels in this diet would be ideal for body building and repair! I will check with my GP if I feel this is the right diet for me.
At the moment I am reading through all the posts and can I add that you look fantastic - what an inspiration!!

If you knew the rubbish I have been eating over the last couple of months!!! I have put loads on.
Any diet would be better than stuffing my face with sugary, fatty stuff (and wine).
