i really recomend it ,i widened my palette when i completed abstinence and rtm a few yrs ago but this time im pushing in new things even more xxloving it!!

SS we get some amazing smoked tofu and basil flavoured tofu, both are really good. We did a fab dish tonight on the event for vegans, a little tower - well it was square but you get the idea, which was made of puy lentil, celery, carrot, cumin, garlic, a little corriander and a tiny bit of boiled potato. Topped that with the griddled smoked tofu, and a side salad of watercress, with a little more chopped tofu, spring onion, lime zest, parsley and a fresh date very thinly sliced. Drizzled this with lime vinaigrette. - Awesome, the vegans loved it. You could also do a similar thing with the basil tofu in place of mozzarella in a fresh tomato tricolor salad, with beef toms, the tofu, fresh basil, and thinly sliced red onion, drizzle with balsamic, sprinkle with a little maldon salt and cracked black pepper. This can also be stacked and done hot, you can also add layers of grilled aubregine and courgette. Should work well.

Let me know guys if you need any more recipes :)

COol! Glad you like it!!

But - you shoud squeeze the moisture out before you marinade it. DOn;t qant to be squeezing out the flavour!!

I have a few posts here about different recipes to try.

I an a huge proponent of Tofu. Tofu is the original SUPER food, it is about the healthiest thing you can consume, ever. It has amazing health qualities, and is low fat. Who would want more!!

Just let your imagination run wild. You can use it in place of meat in spag-bo for example. Or lasagna. Hot, cold, savoury, sweet - the sky is the limit. :)

Here's one - my life saver!

TOFU MAYONAISE

1 12 oz box silken Tofu (must be silken <soft> tofu as will not work with firm)
2 tsp Sesame Oil (or Olive, or not at all)
1/2 tsp dry mustard (or more if you like - I do)
2 Tblsp rice or apple cider vinegar
2 tsp Soy Sauce (I oftne omit this)
Salt to taste

Blend it all ina food processor. If you have an attachment with the smaller bowl I think it works better. Just whip it untill completely smooth and gorgeous.

Use it as your imagination allows you.

Iv never had it before but by the sounds of it I'l defo have to try it :)

I had a squizz in our local health food shop, which has a great food section. Loads of different types of flavoured tofu in there, including a"pizza" flavour. Also had some pretty interesting looking tofu "meats" The bacon looked a bit offputting, but the sausages looked quite good.
