I am Utterly Amazed!!!

After a terrible 3 day binge in my first week- (1st day, just wine, 2nd day, wine, cheese and crackers and 3rd day, wine, pizza, crisps at a friend's house)- I have still lost 4 1/2 pounds!

Luckily I had saved up my Syns as I knew these social events were happening. I also have had a LOT of exercise (Thai-boxing, 2-5 mile walks, tennis) and strictly adhered to the plan (syn free) on my good days.

To top it all off, it's my Star Week as well!

So happy, goes to show what a bit of exercise can do! :)

Thanks to all that gave support in my other thread!

Well Done! That's brilliant! Carry on working hard though so hopefully it doesn't catch up with you :) x

Hi FBNFL.... I assume you were asking about my weightloss - if not apologies...

I did all red - I'm afraid I like my meat - am defo an omnivore - can't do veggies only. I've not been eating loads - been having 3 sensible meals a day - filling up on frees - mainly meat and salad for lunch and dinner. Have been sticking to average 10 syns per day and have been having ss milk and cheddar for 2 a's and potatoes for b's but did have shedded wheat for b'fast 2 days.

Have been eating fruit when i'm hungry between meals and yogurts.

But I have only just done my first week - so a larger weight loss is understandable - but I'm not sure how sustainable it is - i'm expecting less next week.

yes i was... i done slimming world last year for 3 months and lost 4 stone... it was so easy but my friend backed out and i didnt want to go on my own... im now waiting for a bypass BUT im on the pre op diet... 3/4 pints of milk , 1 oxo cube in boiling water and 2 pints of sugar free squash oh and 1 sf jelly... im finding it really hard and have only lost 10lb in 2 weeks , whilst doing sw i lost 1 stone 6 in 2 weeks so im thinking of trying sw for the 2 weeks i have left and try and shift these last 5lb! im desperate to loose them before i go back so i can get my date for the op. thanks for your reply and well done. x

good luck fbfl! The diet they have you on sounds hideous! My dad has been in and out of hospital for cancer (now in remission thank heavens), but some of the nutritional advice the so called professionals gave him was complete nonsense - it does make you wonder!

Have they given you a weight loss target to reach before the op then?

If you wanna chat some more drop me a line.

It's always the way isn't it... those last few pesky pounds to hit target... bain of my existence - also when you're trying to get below the stone mark - i'm sure it's the devils work. have sent you a friend request btw.
