Well hello all,

I am on week 2 and on monday at my first weigh in I lost 17.5lbs which I was over the moon about. However, I was then a complete idiot and decided that I would have meat and veg for lunch out with my family for my nan's memorial rememberance. And then I was such a fat oinker and ate a big slice of steak pie that my fiance home made. I now feel so devestated that I have messed everything up. I have 10 days until next weigh in. I just feel so disappointed in myself, ive let myself down after i done so well.

any advice appreciated

Firstly well done on the loss you had in the first week.

Now you have to draw a line under your little binge .... drink plenty of water and start again. You can do it ..... and come on here and post as often as you need to.

Hiya VJS

Doesn't make you a failure! If you stop now because of it you have.

So time to grab the water bottle, mix up a soup and hang in there as you want to be slim more than eat (for now!)

So good luck and drink a glass of water for me!

Mike

Whatever you do, forget it, put it behind you and do not dwell on it as this will make you feel worse and you will probably fail big time. You must forget about it totally and get straight back on the wagon, as hard as it may be, I know Iv been there and done it.....but you must get back for your own sake.......you can do it, we can do it together.

I reckon, don't despair. 10 days is a long time to get back on track. If you decide this minute to get back on track then you've rescued yourself already!
Seriously, give this a thought:
Apparently it takes circa 3 days to get into ketosis from a previously carbohydrate laden diet.
Your body has been carbohydrate deprived (more or less) for a while now - hence your 17Ib loss (well done btw). I doubt you would have managed to replenish those stores to the extent they were 3/4 weeks ago (it isn't the meat and veg [sprouts/broccolli etc NOT potatoes :)] that would have done it, it would have been the pastry on the pie - yum).
et back on track now and you'll be back in ketosis within days AND lost weight before your 10 days is up.

I hope I've put things into perspective for you.
No more crying. You've done well not to go off the rails like I do. You've controlled yourself and posted on here. Well done.

*hugs*

Don't look back, just look forward, we have blips but if u beat yourself up it weighs u down. Forgive yourself - sounds like a tuff day if it was a ceremony for your nan - you have done well to get thru it.
Take care

Put the small blip on one side. In 10 days on this diet you can really do well. If you get back on track come weigh day you will still have lost.
