SE confusion!!

I've had a bad week and I'm miserable about it. :cry:I want to give this week a kickstart with a couple of Success Express days.

Am I right in saying I can have TWO Hex Bs? And that snacks should be either superfree or Hex Bs? Sooooo, if I was hungry between, I could have some strawberries (superfree) and 2 Alpen Lights (HEX B). Also, are superfree foods limited?

My biggest worry is breakfast. I like a good solid breakfast before work. Can I still have cereal?

Thank you!

If you have loads of berries with your cereal, then it's SE-savvy :)

  • Every day enjoy three Success Express meals. Success Express meals follow the Two to One plate principle. Fill two thirds of your plate with Superfree foods (listed in your Food Optimising book). Fill the remaining third with foods that are Free on Green or Original, or you can have both together.
  • Every day enjoy three or four Healthy Extras as usual, from either the Green or Original lists. You can add these to meals or have them as snacks!
  • Enjoy your usual 5-15 Syns a day, as part of a meal or as snacks. Where you have a food with a Syn value, count the highest value. Eg, a thick pork sausage would always be 8½ Syns.
  • Snacks, starters and desserts that aren’t Superfree or Healthy Extras are counted as Syns, eg smoked salmon as a starter would be counted as Syns because it isn’t Superfree. A starter such as melon is Superfree.
  • If you find yourself towering up the 1/3 part of your plate it’s not a true success express meal and you may be better going for Green, Original or Mix2Max.

Well, to strictly be success express it needs to meet the two-thirds rule. So you'd need to have one third of cereal but 2 thirds of fruit.

I think you need a bit more than an apple and a banana for it to be actually 2/3 fruit...but have a look at your volumes and see what you think :)

Yep or perhaps I'll branch out and try something else for brekkie. Variety is the spice of life after all! ;)

Your cereal will still be your HExB. You'll need something from either red/green days to make up the 3rd for 2/3 fruit, maybe some egg(superfree) and bacon on red, or some beans and fried (in frylight) potatoes on green. Or perhaps an omelette which is superfree and add potato, or peas for green, and some ham for red? I think the 2/3 ratio is most difficult for breakfast the rest of the day is so much simpler!

This might sound stupid but should I have my plate of 2/3 superfree and 1/3 red or green AS WELL AS my bowl of cereal?:eek:
