Hi All

Hi Roy,

Welcome to MiniMins!

Have you thought about doing a food replacement diet?

The reason I mention this is that if you are not able to exercise a food replacement diet will help you lose weight quickly and give you the motivation to keep going.

If that sounds like too much, you could consider joining one of the weight loss clubs like WW or SW etc.

Have a read at this link below which will help you make your way around the forums and if you need any help please ask.

Look into the different diet forums and I am sure you will come across a diet that appeals to you and will suit your life style.

Hi Irene, I did try the Weightwatchers diet back in Feb 1995, my start weight was then 15st 10lbs and I lost 21lbs in 9 weeks. But I didn't keep it up due to my friend jacking it in, we were doing it together and when he dropped out I lost all motivation, also I was a lot fitter then and I was doing some boxing training. I've joined a local health club recently and I'm just doing a bit of very light exercise and swimming a bit, maybe I should try the Weightwatchers again eh. Thank's for talking Irene.

Hi Roy,

You were very successful with WW as 21lb in 9 weeks is excellent!

I think it would be worth giving it another go.

Breaking out of the comfort zone is never easy...

The only way to get motivation is to begin and if you have a false start to keep moving forward and gradually it gathers momentum with each pound lost.
