Back 2 finish my journey
I went for an interview this morning i came out feeling quite positive but they rang me this afternoon and said i was unsucessful, so all evening i've been feeling sooo low. It has been a real test on my resolve its the first time in the 2weeks since i started sole sourcing that i've really needed to comfort eat....but i haven't. Hope i don't feel this low again tomorrow.

You got as far as an interview? I can't even get that far. I am applying for jobs EVERY day. It's horrible isn't it? I am desperate to be working again too.

Getting to interview stage is impressive. Remember there is only one job so the odds are stacked against you. In this climate getting to interview was good. It may have been something trivial you missed out on, so don't worry your socks. :hug99:

Reject Doll - I'm wishing you all the very best too. :hug99:

I wish I could help you all. What kind of work is it you two are looking for?

It wasn't meant to be and not the job for you. But it's so hard when you usualy comfort yourself with food ... hang in there hun. New fresh day tomorrow xxx

I'm a lawyer but just looking for part time admin work while I finish Masters degree. I can do most I apply for with my hands tied behind my back and standing on my head. (If I could actually stand on my head that is!)

Thats just it...there was more than one post, its not trivial. I'm a student midwife qualifying in september. I've been training for 3years to do this job and now after all this blood sweat and tears i probably won't even get a job!

Hopefully this will encourage you!!! It took me over 2 years to find the right job, and I had loads of inteviews - eventually I found a job that was just right for me - perhaps I should add that the company had an excellent canteen, so I was employed but 3 stone heavier 6 months later!!!! Hence my into to CD

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job but huge congratulations on not going home and eating yourself silly!

As a midwife it makes me very sad when newly qualified midwives don't get jobs immediately; it's incredibly hard work studying and qualifying and you end up feeling "what was all that effort for?". However in my experience it's only a matter of time before you'll get one - it's all about budget juggling by managers and everyone knows that midwives are in demand - don't take it personally but just keep applying. What area are you in?

Hey, don't worry, I'm sure you'll get there! I'm with Reject Doll on this one, you should feel great to have got to interview! I'm also applying for a million jobs a day and haven't been hearing from anything at all. It's starting to get really tiring now. I need a job, but can't find anything, and don't know what I'm meant to do. I'm meant to be moving into Birmingham soon as I can't keep travelling this far for uni, but if I don't get a job I can't save up for my deposit and stuff. Being a student really goes against me because even if I wanted help from the government, I couldn't get it. The university is no help. And there's no jobs, so looks like I'm stuck! Here's me crossing my fingers, toes and eyes that the three of us and anyone else who is looking finds a job real soon.
