Orlistat

I wanted to think about taking Orlistat again, but my nurse said you can only take them for 12 months ?

how long do I have to wait inbetween before I can go back on them ?

I'm not a health care professional but maybe speak to them again. I was reading yesterday on xenical.com that there was no known benefit for prescribing xen for 4 years - it didn't mention anything like 1 year (which is what I was advised when I took Reductil, a completely different type of drug). I did a bit more research and found the following: -

Can you maybe have a discussion about it with your Dr?

Thanks for that its much appreciated, I didn't real my goal when on it, I stopped after 10 months of taking it and tried to diet and exercise alone. I did loose another stone but have hit a brick wall so wanted to try again with the orlistat.

I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to recommence the xenical, it doesn't stay in your system for very long and i can't say i've found any research about negating effects of long term use xx
