hi everyone,
i'm new to this site, but sadly not new to dieting..
this is my problem in a ntshell, basically i just want some advice on what i am doing.
i am a crew member aboard a super yacht so unfortunately there is not much choice in what gets put in the fridge, but this is bascially how my day goes:
breakfast: cup of oats or cereal and maybe some fruit
lunch: always just a form of protein, pork or chicken with salad
afternoon: this is my downfall as i often find myself picking at a biscuit or two
dinner: same again, protein veggies and salad.

before work everyday i do an hour of cardio or toning, and i'm active throughout the day- i just want to know if this ebough to allow me to lose weight, and if there are any changes that could be recommended.

thanks to anyone who can help

have a great day

I'll let other low carbers answer this one Georgie, I'm a strict Atkins man myself. Actually reading your Menu it looks quite like the GI diet to me.

I agree with Jim...It does sound G.I...which tends to be good for people.

It depends if your body can cope with the carbs in the oats. And, what veggies you are having.

Maybe use an online tracker like fitday and see what ratio of carbs, protein and fat you are consuming. On low carb, fat (good fats lol) should make up approx (but don't quote or shoot me lol) 60%, protein 30% and carbs 10%. If you work around this type of framework, you should start seeing the loss.

good luck!:)
