Hiya me Fellow CD'ers.........

Wanted to ask how much water you drink daily?

Hi, I think the more you drink the better, i have found that on the weeks that ive really had a lot of water the losses have been better, I drink about 3 or 4 ltrs a day probably more sometimes.

I drink about 2 and quarter litres of plain water in addition to any coffee, tea etc that I have. I'm not sure how much it affects loss as I'm only in week 2 - but I have to say that my skin looks much better and I must be much thinner from all the running upstairs to loo!

I'm only at the end of week 1 and i'm drinking 6 pints a day, mainly because i'm only having tetras so I have to have about 4 pints and an additional 1/2 pt for every tetra I have. I have to force myself to drink it coz not a fan of water but I do feel better in myself for drinking it. (Not sure on weight losses yet).

Gallons, or so it seems!!! I try and do four litres a day.

It's funny how it seems like a *lot* of fluid to drink yet when I used to go down the pub you don't think of it like that lol

I aim at four litres and usually make it. I don't count tea, coffee etc in those four litres, they're extra. 4l of plain water, daily. There was a great post that I noticed a few days ago, an old one from Icemoose, which had been bumped - it explained really well why the water is so critical. I do honestly think that the more you drink the more likely you are to see good losses.

I also aim to drink 3-4L of water a day. Only got through 1 week so not sure about how this affects weight loss, but im am going to try and stick to this throughout.

Same as everyone else, the more the better with this diet as its dehydrating and you need more anyway, plus.. more water helps the loss and Iced water is proven to speed weight loss, so I drink 2 Litres of Iced Water and Day and sip on another litre and half of plain tap water. Have 3 cups of tea a day with 1/4 of a sweetner. xx

i usualy drink 2-3 litres but yesterday i drank probs a little over 5litres and felt a bit ill, and still do but i dont think thats anything to do with the water...just a coincidence :)

I drink roughly 5.5 litres - 6litres a day of plain water. I also have coffee throughout the day & also had a little more water to my shakes as i don't like them with the recommened water.

On the whole...... i haven't found it to make me lose more weight. On week 3 i only lost 3.5lbs even though i'm drinking all that water.

I tend to lose 3lbs a week.... i have been on the CD before. I wish drink loads of water would make me lose more weight but its not the case for me

I drink 4 litres of plain or sparkling tap water.
I usually drink quite alot of tea too but I don't count that in.

I always have my 6 litres a day,cdc says no more than that though.
You know the saying "the more you drink the more you shrink"

usually between 4 and 6l a day additional to the shakes i have.
So far today i have already had 4l as i've been out and about in the car and i need the water in this hot weather!
i usually have pretty decent losses but dont know if thats water related or not!
xxx

I normally have 4 litres on top of my Tea and Shakes. I've been told the more that you drink it will certainly help lose the weight.

I try to drink 4ltrs a day, don't think I could manage anymore! x

i just can't stop weeing! and people say smoking is unsociable!!....ha! i'm drinking over 5 litres a day, and then im mixing my sachets with a pint worth of water.. and i'm not counting my tea and coffee..

STRETCH BLADDER..STRETCH!!!!!

You know the saying "the more you drink the more you shrink"

That is a myth though.

It is important to have at least the 2.5L (more for tetras and bars) as Cambridge is a ketogenic diet and so dehydrating. After that, it's up to you. Your best guide is your body. Thirsty? Drink more.

Drinking too much can cause an electrolyte imbalance which isn't good.

Cambridge don't appear to have an upper limit, though I think LT have one at 4L.

Cold water can give a little boost to the metabolism, but probably so small when you are already on a VLCD to be unnoticeable, so if you love cold water...drink it. If you don't, don't stress ;) as long as you are getting at least the minimum to keep your body hydrated.

Do spread your water throughout the day though. Drinking a lot in a short period of time can be dangerous.

:)

I was going to say that my cdc had advised me not to drink more than 3ltrs but 2.5lts was okay. She did say that if i was thirsty to have a little bit more but drinking to much water would flush some of the goodness that CD gives such as salts etc

I drink about 3ltrs a day without including my cups of white tea i have in a day. Should i include these into my water intake ?
